The Many Responsibilities of a Maid of Honor

This article is about the many responsibilities you are responsible for as the maid of honor in a wedding. There are many responsibilities that come with the title of being the maid of honor at a wedding.

First, you have to go shopping with the bride for her dress. Which is a big deal in weddings. Usually the maid of honor in a wedding is the sister to the bride. Sometimes it is the best friend of the bride as well.

After dress shopping with the bride, you have to tell the bride that you need a list of hers and her fiances family and friends so you know who to invite to the bridal shower. Plus you need the list in order to know how many invitations to send out.

Next, planning the bridal shower which can be stressful. You have to buy all the decorations, food, gifts, find games for the shower, and make out the invitations to send to everybody the bride wants you to.

Then, you set the date of the bridal shower and make sure it is a good time for the bride also.

Then comes the big day for the bridal shower. The day so joyous to the bride. The day you want to make the bride feel as special as she can. Decorate the whole hall for the bride and make sure the bride is happy and excited about her upcoming big day.

After the shower, there is the responsibility of the day of the wedding also. If the bride asks you to run errands for her on the wedding day you have to do it because she is not able to because of how much stuff she has to get done already such as her hair and getting ready at the church and getting dressed.

At the church you help the bride get in to her beautiful dress. Make sure she is beautiful and everything she needs is on or ready to go for her. Then you have to get dressed yourself for the big day and get your hair done as well.

Then the ceremony begins and you walk down the aisle with the best man. Then the bride enters so beautiful and immaculate. While the ceremony is in progress when the bride and groom are told to join hands you have to hold the brides bouquet plus fix her train whenever she moves somewhere.

At the reception, the maid of honor and best man have to make a toast and speech. It is usually a sentimental speech that makes the bride cry because of everything you and the bride has been through your entire life.

Then after the reception you have to clean up the hall for the bride and make sure all the wedding gifts get to the bride and grooms house. Then after that, you wave them goodbye and wish them all the best of luck and the happy day is over.
