The next thing you need to do is find a place where you both want to get married. Call and talked to the preacher or pastor which ever one is there and find out if he has that date open or not. Then like me and my husband you usually have to go to counseling or such things. In our case we had to go to 6 weeks of counseling and six weeks of church because we got married in a Christian church. Other places will vary on what you have to do. But the counseling thing is basically normal. Then you have to get the invitations all done and make sure you have R.S.V.P. cards in them as well. Make sure you put a date on the R.S.V.P. cards on when you need them back by because you need to know how much food and drinks you need to have for the reception.
Then you and your husband to be need to find a cake that you both like. In our case my husband has an uncle that makes professional wedding cakes so we did not have to buy our wedding cake he did ours for a wedding gift. Then you have to get with your wedding planner and go over everything that you need to for the wedding and the price it is going to cost. Then your husband to be needs to figure out how many groomsmen he is going to have so you can have the same amount of bridesmaids on your side. Then you have to pick a flower girl and a ring barer.
After you get that much done the rest just kind of falls into place like buying your wedding gown and your bridesmaids dresses and your flower girl dress and the groomsman's tuxes and the church and the reception. Believe me when you get married it is a lot to take in at the beginning, but when you start planning everything pretty much falls into place. Weddings are a time for everybody to celebrate in your happiness as husband and wife. All your family you haven't seen in so long is there and it just makes the day so wonderful.
