The Marine 2: Will Ted DiBiase Jr. Turn Face to Promote His Movie?

The Marine 2 starting WWE superstar Ted DiBiase Jr. will be released on DVD, December 29^th. No one seems to be interested in how good the movie will be. I am a little curious as to how good the movie will be. The first Marine stared John Cena, who I'm not a big fan of, but the movie was exciting and action packed. My first problem with Marine 2, is they don't carry over the same actors from the first film. I hate when movies don't bring back the same stars, why not just call it something else besides the Marine? I must be the only one worried about the movie, because a majority of fans are more concerned with Dibiase's in ring status.

The question everyone seems to be asking is "Will Ted DiBiase Jr. turn face to promote his movie?" For all you non-wrestling fans reading this article, face is a good guy like John Cena and heel is a bad guy. Ted Dibiase Jr. is currently a heel along with his fellow Legacy members Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes. Could we see DiBiase turn face in the upcoming weeks on Raw? I doubt it.

I personally don't think Dibiase would be a good face, plus it's easier to be a bad guy than a good one. Orton has so much power that he has made Rhodes and Dibiase into their own stars, but I don't think they can stand on their own and carry a show just yet. For now I think it is best for WWE to market Dibiase as a heel. The only mistake WWE made with marketing this movie was not releasing it before Christmas.

In my opinion WWE should have released the DVD around December 1^st. That way it would give wrestling fans plenty of time to purchase the DVD and get it under their tree by Christmas. I checked wweshop.com thinking that would have a special pre-release for all there fans, but I was wrong. WWE comes right out and says "This item will not be available until 12/29/2009. If your order contains other merchandise, your entire order will be held until the release date of this item." That is upsetting, and likely to turn consumers away. If I was ordering other items for Christmas and also wanted the DVD. I would either cancel my entire order or only order the other items and forget about the DVD.
