The Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure Concept

Concept Creates Articulated Large Scale Sentinel Figure

As some of you Marvel fans may have already know, the Marvel Legends toy line is responsible for making some of the greatest Hulk action figures ever. These are highly articulated toys that have incredible designs to them. The Hulk figure has at least twenty points of articulation, making it one of the most detailed figures ever from the line. So far, there have been well over fifteen lines to the Marvel Legends series. Series nine of the toy line was the first to introduce the "Build-A-Figure" concept which meant that each action figure from the particular series had an extra limb to build an even larger figure. To build this large figure, you must obtain all of the characters from same series. For example, series 9 has the Hulk, Nightcrawler, Bullseye, Professor X, War Machine, Dr. Strange, and Deathlok. Once you have all these figures, then you can build the massive Galactus figure which can fetch a pretty penny on eBay.

The "First Appearance" Grey Hulk is definitely my personal favorite of all Hulk action figures from this amazing toy line. He somewhat resembles the classic horror monster Frankenstein because of his flat shaped skull. He is the perfect action figure to own if you are new to collecting Marvel Legends figures. Typically, you will find all sorts of Hulk action figures with angry faces, but the "first appearance" Hulk carries a laid back look on his face. This figure is a variant to a green version that was released in stores around the same time, but green Hulk variant had an angry face. They are very easy to find at online stores such as www.eBay.com and www.amazon.com, but the prices may vary on these wonderful action figures. I would recommend on buying them there rather than comic book shops because they tend to cost more.

Another personal favorite figure of mine from the Marvel Legends series would have to be the "Build-A-Figure" Apocalypse. He is regarded as one of the most powerful villains of all time in the comic book world. You can have the giant figure once you have collected all the characters from series 12. Finding those guys is not an easy task, especially when they are very pricy. Unfortunately, I do not intend to own that particular Apocalypse figure.
