Your presence in my life is written in stone.
You are always there despite life's many storms.
Your shoulders provide the strength I often rely on,
And is the place I find the comfort to carry on.
You taught me to see beyond what I think I can achieve,
And through your encouragement in my dreams I continue to believe.
I thank God for you even when we argue and disagree,
Because you have shown me with your love the best things in life are free.
I could ask for no better father despite how imperfect you may be,
You mean the world to me.
This is dedicated to fathers, whose measure is often underrated
You are wholeheartedly appreciated.

Post a CommentA great tribute to a wonderful dad
This poem really touched me. My Father passed away on March 26th, so this will be my first Father's Day without him. I know it's going to be hard.
Very well written!
What a beautiful poem for fathers everywhere.
Always look forward when my inbox says, "A.M. has been published."

Very beautiful poem. 5 stars for you!
I showed this to my hubby. He is not a huge poetry fan, but was moved by this, as was I. Hugs.
Never had a good relationship with my Dad. Only the Lord has given me the patience for him! Very beautiful.
