The Media Guy Who Criticized Sarah Palin's Daughter Most Now Says the "Nation" Did It!

Sorry Buddy, We Didn't.

A media gone berserk.

How long will the media in this country insult and misrepresent this great nation of ours?

How long will they think prime news time is for peddling gossip and rubbish?

How long will they think that this is a nation hungry for gossip on what young girls are doing in their private lives?

Sorry, Mr.Perfect, you were the one who doggedly went after Ms.Palin's daughter as if you were a third-rate paparazzi who hangs on endlessly before somebody 's home for a bit of gossip. We the nation didn't.

So don't accuse the nation that we were mercilessly pursuing her. We didn't. She has every right to lead her life the way she did irrespective of her mother's job.

Ma America has not lost her priorities, even if you and your bosses have.

I witnessed this welcome but unruly incident on television during Governor Patterson's swearing-in ceremony in New York.

Bill Ritter and another colleague was reporting the ceremony. His friend kept on hankering on Elliot Spitzer's wife endlessly every other minute.

Each time Mr.Ritter changed the subject back to the new governor's oath-taking, the other person was more interested talking about the ex-governor's spouse, conveniently forgetting it was a live reporting of a ceremony.

So, finally he had no choice but snub his colleague. When the other person commented,
"I am wondering what emotions are going through Ms.Spitzer's mind now,"

Bill curtly said, "Sorry, I am no psychologist," and went on with his live reporting. The one rarest incident all these years, when I saw him lose his patience.

Then, there, you see the "Real Ma America and Her Long Cherished Values." No Nonsense tolerated.

But Bill was right. A real man has no time wasting on what somebody's wife is thinking at this very moment, even if her husband was paid salary by taxpayers.

Also, gossipmongers should realize that their "heroics" are being beamed throughout the world by satellites, making others think what these well dressed and well groomed (at least in front of the cameras) guys and gals say and think actually represent USA.

What I like most about Bill Ritter is this:

When forced to say things he knows are un-American, by the real crooks the editors behind the scenes, he just glosses over them so fast with a grim face that the viewer immediately gets that un-American feeling about the subject he talks about.

This nation needs more media persons with integrity like Bill Ritter who takes his job seriously and represent the nation's values more aptly!

Truth doesn't mean nosy gossip or manipulative banter.

Ever wondered why Barak Obama strictly warned his staff that they will be mercilessly fired if they say one word against the young girl?

Then, there, you see the "Real Ma America and Her Long Cherished Values." No nonsense tolerated.

Thank you Marquis for the feedback. I think with an ever watchful grandma, media may not have much luck with the Obama kids. One thing I lament about my generation, the babyboomers, is the callous way family values were thrown away for the sake of a mirage called limitless freedom. I call it a mirage because freedom always came with limits. Thanks again for looking in.
