Michael Lynche sang James Brown "This is a Man's World" - The judges liked it, and so did I, but I didn't think it was great. He will be back for American Idol round three next week.
John Park sang John Mayer's "Gravity" - The judges didn't think it was a very good performance. I found his performance boring. I think there is a good chance that he won't be back last week.
Casey James sang Gavin McGraw "I Don't Want To Be" - His performance wasn't as sultry as last week, but it was still pretty good. The handsome Casey James will be back for another American Idol round.
Alex Lambert sang John Legend's "Everybody Knows" - The judges said his performance was better than last week. I missed last week, but I found his performance on this week's American Idol pretty weak. He may not be back next week.
Todrick Hall sang Tina Turner's "What's Love Got To Do With It" - This guy would be better suited to Broadway than American Idol. The judges were disappointed in his performance. Lucky for Todrick there were several other mediocre performances. I think he will return to American Idol next week.
Jermaine Sellers sang Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On" - It was another of the many mediocre performances. Simon doesn't think he will be back on next week's American Idol.
Andrew Garcia sang James Morrison's "You Give Me Something" - Randy didn't like it, but Ellen and the audience disagreed. I think Garcia has one of the nicest tones. He will be back on American Idol next week.
Aaron Kelley sang "My Girl" by the Temptations -This 16-year-old has one of the strongest voices on American Idol this season. I think he will be back next week. The judges said his performance was stronger than last week.
Tim Urban sang a Christian pop number that Cara, Randy and Ellen didn't like. Simon though was impressed by his performance. Personally, I liked his performance.
Lee Dewyze sang "Lips of an Angel" - In my opinion it was the best performance of the night. The judges had a few problems with it but said that he had one of the best voices of all the men on American Idol this season.
We will find out Thursday which American Idol contestant is eliminated.
