A television show requires at least two things to be successful. One is well-written scripts. The other is good actors and actresses.
"Once in, Always in," is the Unit's motto. The Unit is based on the book Inside Delta Force. The show gives viewers an insight into the gritty reality of walking the fine line between a deadly job that doesn't exist and the often mundane world of daily life.
Unit Team Members
Unit Team Leader: Jonas Blane (Dennis Haysbert, voice of Allstate Insurance).
Jonas is responsible for the actions of everyone on the team and for mission results. He's been a part of the Unit world long enough to have acquired a lot of injuries. His wife, Molly (Regina Taylor) has of late been pushing for his retirement while he's still in one piece and able to walk and talk.
While Jonas manages the team, Molly manages the wives. She supports, cajoles and does damage control when necessary. She doesn't waste words or pull her punches. She has no problem lying if it means her husband's safety.
Unit Team Member: Bob Brown (Scott Foley)
Bob is the youngest of the team. He's sharp. So sharp the CIA has been after him of late. Wife Kim (Audrey Marie Anderson) had some problems adjusting to the Unit. She has a better grasp on it and her own part in it now. A daughter and son complete the family unit.
Unit Team Member: Mack Gerhardt (Max Martini)
Like the other men, Mack is tough. Unlike Jonas and Bob, Mack has yet to find a way to communicate his feelings to his wife Tiffany (Abby Brammell). Mack and Tiffany have a volatile relationship. Both have been unfaithful. Both have things they desperately want to say to the other but can't find the words. Being parents to two girls doesn't make it any easier.
Unit Team Member: Charles Grey (Michael Irby)
Charles is single. His appearance works well for undercover operations. He has served as a defensive driving instructor.
Unit Team Member: Hector Williams (Demore Barnes)
Hector is also single. He's a sharpshooter.
The single members of the team don't have to walk the fine line between job and spouse. On the other hand, developing relationships can prove tricky when you can't reveal what you really do at work.
Commander Tom Ryan (Robert Patrick)
Colonel Ryan commands the team. He and Tiffany have a past. He's now married to Charlotte (Rebecca Pidgeon).
The members of the Unit form a cohesive and powerful team, dedicated to serving and protecting. They're also human, prone to the usual and customary temptations. Tough. Determined. The men and women of the Unit.

Post a CommentWhy Hector?????????? Let's face it...Mac is an ass, Bob is boring, and Jonas is getting closer to retirement. Why Hector???????
I love The Unit, and it is based on real life. I'm glad there is a show out there that isn't afraid to show what really happens, although I do realize a lot is edited out.
Great story!
