The MGM Grand in Las Vegas

A Review of This Beautiful 4 Star Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip

Jason Ward
Spanning over multiple acres the MGM Grand Hotel and Resort is one of the biggest hotel Resorts in Vegas, I was lucky enough to stay in one of their beautiful 4 star rooms for a week, and this is my review of the hotel and the Entertainment.

The Hotel has three main towers each having their own style of room and prices vary, there are expensive penthouse suites at the top which is catered to the very elite and rich. I of course got a cheaper room in one of the towers, I was very happy with the room as it was simple but quite elegant, with old black and white photographs hanging all around it, including a shot of the 3 lions the hotel was named after, Metro, Goldwyn, and Meyer, who are all quite adorable. The view from the large window was nothing too spectacular, although at night a florescent green light would shine in gently if you left the curtains open, I liked this light, but I would imagine some people would not.

Located downstairs is a giant pool area where they have more than one pool and have hot tubs as well, the pools are in a huge 6 acre area with beautiful gardens as well so you can imagine you could almost get lost going for a swim. There is also a large spa facility near the pool where you get 5 star treatment and is very relaxing. In the spa there is also a large fitness center which is great if you want to continue your workout schedule while partying in Vegas, I found it to be very satisfactory.

The Casino area of the Hotel is also very large and boasts a large variety of slot machines and more than 145 tables I believe, which include games like Texas Hold'em, BlackJack, and Craps, If you are going to Vegas to gamble than you barely even have to leave your Hotel premises as they do literally, "Have it all!"

Another great part of the Hotel is the gigantic Hollywood Theater which famous performers play at including David Copperfield, and Howie Mandel, I was lucky enough to catch one of Mr. Copperfield's shows and let me tell you, it was Breathtaking.

In another big section is the KA show which is an affiliation of Cirque du Soleil, it is built into a huge theater and a lot of people call it one of Cirque du Soleil's best show, with martial arts, puppets, and awesome acrobatic performances.

They also have a large number of night Clubs and top notch restaurants all of which have their own perks and specialties, some ones to check out are, Studio 54 which is a very prestigious large nightclub where you can literally party all night, another one is Tabu which is more of a drinking lounge where they offer very high priced but delicious signature drinks, my favorite place to eat is at the Joel Robuchon which is a French Restaurant with a lot of traditional dishes that just make your mouth water, it is very exclusive so you will be dining with the millionaires if you go there, very costly though.

Well that just about sums it up, I hope it helped you discover a little bit about the MGM Grand and if you ever do end up staying here I wish you a great time.
