The ATA is a great organization to be a part of. The belts are recognized throughout the organization, so if a student moves or goes to another school, their belt will be recognized. The ATA also offers numerous tournaments on the regional, national, and world level. Students also have the opportunity, through hard work and dedication, to earn various titles, including State Champion, National Champion, and the coveted World Champion.
The Midtown ATA Black Belt Academy in Memphis, Tennessee offers traditional martial arts lessons for students of all ages. Training ranges from basic techniques, forms, and weapons to board breaking and sparring. Specialized training is also available at the Midtown ATA school. "Cardio Karate" classes are offered twice a week. These classes combine martial arts and aerobics for a unique cardiovascular workout that is sure to keep you in shape. Another specialized class is the combat training class. This class allows students to learn ground fighting techniques as well as other sport fighting tactics. This class is also offered twice a week. Even if you don't take the taekwondo classes, you can take one of these specialized classes.
The Midtown ATA Black Belt Academy offers classes for children, adults, and families. All ATA instructors go through intensive training in instruction and youth protection in order to become certified to teach students. The chief instructor at the Midtown ATA Black Belt Academy in Memphis Tennessee is a fifth degree black belt and veteran police officer. At the school you will also meet the program director, which is a fourth degree black belt.
