Patti charges millionaire men oodles of money for a membership. There are different levels of memberships too. They sign up with her thinking they are going to find true love. They are supposedly searching for the love of their life. She sets them up with single women who applied to the club. Now here is what I find disturbing. The women do not have to be millionaires but the men do. Wouldn't you think the women were just looking for men with money? For this to be a true matchmaking service that I would feel comfortable with, the men and women would be on the same playing field. Something doesn't feel "kosher" to me. It just didn't feel right.
As I watch the show trying to understand it I soon realize that all the "Club" does it try to match single men to single women. The owner claims to go through some "process" of making the matches but from what I have seen I can't tell what that is. She claims that if she would hit the lotto tomorrow and never need to earn another dime then she would go all over the world matchmaking for free. Yeah right. If you believe that I have a bridge to sell you. I just finished watching the episode of where she is yelling at one of her employees for not breathing down a client's neck for the check even though this particular client's mother was just put in the hospital. I really feel the love, don't you?
She also just finished saying that she can't sleep at night unless she has a certain amount of "clients" for the month signed on. But again, she is only doing this for the love not the money? I don't think so. I wonder if she is going to watch these episodes when they are aired and regret saying a lot of this stuff on air. I know I would.
The men who have been on the show so far haven't been much to look at in my eyes. I guess I am too picky. But for some reason the women are all gorgeous? Even if you don't go strictly with looks, 9 out of these 10 men don't have a personality either. So again here are these gorgeous women dating not so attractive men with not the best personality? I could see it if they had a sparkle in their eye or something. I don't mean to sound so pessimistic but I have been in the dating world and this isn't reality.
The episode I am watching just ended and it shows a woman who is the spitting image of a blond Angelina Jolie dating a millionaire man who is just OK in the looks department and blah in the personality department. But in the beginning of the episode the man told Patti that he sees himself wanting to be like George Clooney or Brad Pitt. Yes that was hard. She matched him up with someone who looks like Angelina Jolie. Of course he was going to be interested in her. Did it take a brain surgeon to figure that one out?
To all the men and women who are really looking for "the one" I hope you find it. I am not so sure that this would be the right way to go.
