The Millionaire Matchmaker with Patti Stanger Returns for a Fourth Season in the Big Apple

Welcome back, Patti! Bravo brings back its hit show, The Millionaire Matchmaker, for its fourth season. This time, Patti and her team of matchmakers work their cupid magic in New York City, where brunettes outnumber blonds and female millionaires are as abundant as male ones. At first glance, it's apparent that we are not in L.A anymore!

In tonight's opening episode, Patti tries to hook up Brice, an online magazine owner and Derek, a Staten Island entrepreneur. Brice is a 26-year old heiress with a stick up her ass, looking for the perfect ten. Derek is a 39-year old Guido a little too outgoing and always going for the wrong person. Both sound like a challenge to match make! But no fear! We are dealing with Patti Stanger after all!

During Patti's famous mixer, Brice and Derek are two opposite ends of the spectrum. One is a stuck up princess with very little conversation and the other is an overzealous kid-in-a-candy-shop. While Brice barely gives any guy a chance, even though Patti brought in just about all the tall, Jewish men New York had to offer, our Staten Island boy heads straight for the young, 24-year old night club hostess.

The dates are pretty much polar opposites too. Brice and her math teacher date spend some time boat rowing in Central Park, where she sat stiffly on the boat and barely said a word. Later they head to a romantic dinner in the New York City library. Everything goes well until the poor guy mentions sex, and it just got awkward.

Meanwhile, Derek picks his date up with a limo and wines and dines her on the rooftop of a fancy hotel. She looks smoking hot but there's just something missing. A brain, perhaps?

In the end, none of the dates work out. Well, at least the millionaires have their money to go home to. But Derek did learn a thing or two - go for someone close to his age! As for Brice, she's just too spoiled and stuck up to go for anyone less than a ten.

I've always enjoyed watching The Millionaire Matchmaker. Not only does Patti have a bigger-than-life personality, the dates are pretty entertaining too. It's sweet when two people have chemistry and work out, but it's just hilarious to see these successful, self-assured millionaires stuck in uncomfortable and disastrous dates. Now that The Millionaire Matchmaker is in one of the most dynamic cities, I can't wait to see what type of dynamic personalities will show up this season!
