Whatever occupation comes my way
Whoever crosses my path
Whenever opportunity arises
Whichever choices presented
Decisions based on love
Other's needs, place above
Being open to His leading
A sensitive heart, bleeding
Sometimes not even aware
A timely look
An encouraging smile
A gentle touch
Raised eyebrow
Showing God's care
The mission isn't a trip
To a far away land
Not something huge
On a scale so grand
Love, this world needs
Concern, compassion, empathy
Dialog, understanding in the lead
Time not wasted with apathy
Being diligent about our spiritual condition
When needed, breaking tradition
Being ready, willing and able
To help move the world closer to God's table

Post a CommentExcellent, Yeshuan!
Amen - it's not about us.
This is a good poem.
It is also a great definition of what it means to forget yourself in the great adventure of loving others.
Amen, and well done! Faith is dead unless it is put into action.
