I was so overwhelmed when this film ended.
The Mistress of Spices
A Bollywood love story starring the most beautiful girl in the world as voted by some magazines, Aishwarya Rai, who stars next to this white famous dude who I remembered starred in a really good law series (sue me I just can't remember his name)
Anyways the movie or short film if you prefer, is about this Indian girl who was born with a gift of sight. Helping people around her village at a young age she became famous very quickly for her visions and premonitions. Unfortunately an unforeseen circumstance took her parents' lives but she managed to escape with her own
She flowed through the sea until she met an island, where she met an old lady who was surrounded by young girls in training.
The elderly lady called them The Mistresses of Spices.
Orphaned by Fate she was taken in by the lady to be initiated as a Mistress of Spices
The elderly lady groomed her using the laws of nature until she was old enough to head to the States to open up her own shop of Spices.
She was bounded by laws from the spices and her gift of sight would always remind her of the consequences of breaking these laws

The twist comes in where she meets this man (the famous white dude)
& they fall in love in tragic.....why I say tragic is because the spices were her first priority. This man became a serious distraction

Apparently becoming a mistress of spices you have to devote your entire being to the healing of spices from cinnamon, to chillis, from marjoram to mustard seeds and many more. The amazing thing about this feature is that the girl knew the spices so well that she would communicate with them and they could communicate with her.

It is an amazing love story where a woman has to choose between her calling and love.
There are twists & turns, temptations that burn.
Tragic events & loving ones too.
So facing this story was so arousing to my emotions...I could have never thought that a fairy tale like that can be captured so beautifully and yet expose the truth of what women have to go through for love.

It is a very cute story...the ending is seductive

Reminds us ladies of how many secrets we keep from our men
Reminds us ladies of how much love is needed to heal our game
