The Moment of Truth: When is a Life a Life?

Juliegirl
I don't write many controversial articles. In fact, I'm not sure I ever have. I decided to go ahead and proceed with this article that will discuss a very hot topic and very controversial issue. An issue I feel strongly and passionately about.

The moment of truth seems to be a highly debatable issue today. The moment when an embryo becomes a living soul. From my personal belief and perspective it is human life from the moment of conception.

I feel someone has to speak up for those little voices that cannot speak for themselves. Someone needs to stand up and stop the madness. In fact, it needs to be several "someone's." I hear all of the time how it is a woman's right and a woman's body. I beg to differ with that logic. What about the unborn child's right? Their right to live? Unfortunately they don't get a say. When did it become okay for man to decide their fate?

Too many children won't know the feeling of a mother's love. They won't know what it is like to pick wildflowers, or to play in the park. They won't get the opportunity to become whatever they want, to dream big and succeed. Children who are denied the chance to go to college, get married and have children of their own.

These children are forced to pay for other's bad choices and bad decisions. They have to pay for other's lack of responsibility and accountability for their own actions.

Abortion is not a solution to a problem. It is the beginning of an even bigger one. In my opinion, it is a selfish act. Once a mistake has been made people need to step up and take responsibility for their actions and choices. I will never be able to understand how a pregnant woman can become a victim of a crime and their unborn baby dies, the perpetrator can be tried for murder. That same woman could have gone to an abortion clinic and terminated the life of that child and somehow that is not murder. It's become acceptable. People can justify it any way they like. They can call it anything they like. It is only a weak attempt to disguise the truth.

Education is the key to stop the rampant progression that abortion has taken. There are other choices and options to be made. There is help out there. If you are pregnant and considering an abortion I urge to call one of the following numbers. You can get help. There are several organizations you can call. You don't have to go through this alone.
