Read on to learn more about these strange new clues left behind by Da Vinci when he painted the Mona Lisa hundreds of years ago.
Mona Lisa Clues Revealed In Eyes: Shades Of Da Vinci Code
The Daily Mail web site points out that in Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code, the author paints a story of mystery and intrigue linking the Mona Lisa and the Holy Grail. The National Committee for Cultural Heritage in Italy first discovered the mysterious symbols painted in the dark park of Mona Lisa's eyes says the tiny print is impossible to see with the "naked eye...but with a magnifying glass, they can clearly be seen."
In the right eye of the Mona Lisa, the letters 'LV' appear to be printed, the Italian NCCH said. In the left eye, there may be a 'B' or a 'CE' inscribed. The historians say either an 'L' and a '2' together, or the number 72, can also be seen.
New Mona Lisa Clues Raise New Questions
The committee says the marks are definitely "not a mistake" and were intentionally made by Leonardo Da Vinci. Why Leonardo Da Vinci added the mysterious code to the Mona Lisa is unknown, and the mystery may never be solved without the artist here to explain himself.

art this way, not only that he ddidn't look like the portrait, tha tperson did name was gherardini, an in law of the Davinci and his family, moved to america and got nick named gary.
gary was not thrilled to be in Davinic's family even though he had same talent, painting. maybe this will solve the mystery of davinci's biography, who he was and who was the monalisa, simplicity of ART, why simlicity? we have the artist behind this new digital portriat of young DaVini...art is really that simple!

Great article--very interesting! =0)
This would make a good movie. Oh, wait....
Da Vinci was just a master of art and codes. I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers were some kind of formula.
that's so cool
