Mornin' Rush has been in business for several months. It is owned by local Air Force Veteran, Lynnette Barnes. Lynnette can be found in her unique Coffee House from 5:30 am till 2 pm, Monday thru Friday.
If you are a local in Colorado Springs and go anywhere close to Filmore and I-25, you have to stop in and grab a cup of coffee from Mornin' Rush. If you are coming through Colorado Springs anytime in the future, this is the perfect stopping place. There are gas stations on the exits and Mornin' Rush has the absolute best coffee in town. Not only does Lynnette have just plain ole coffee, she carries most of the same mixtures of lattes and specialty coffees as Starbucks. Strong, robust, fresh coffee. You can get several sizes and it is always piping hot.
With Starbucks so limited on this side of town, Lynnette's wonderful little coffee house is the perfect choice. It is set up in a small building that allows her customers to drive thru on either side of the building. Easy to get into and easy to get out. She has her Menu's set up so you can make your choices before you pull up to the window. Prices are posted clearly and are well within everyone's budget.
Mornin' Rush also carries fresh muffins. Lynnette has a variety of excellent flavors such as Chocolate, Blueberry, Cream Cheese and Apple Cinnamon. My favorite of these is of course Chocolate. Fresh and warm, if you want or just as is. Either way is delicious.
Lynnette also runs specials each day on a combination muffins and coffees. This is an easy way to get a great on the go breakfast, for a great price.
If you are a regular at Mornin' Rush, Lynnette will give you a card. When you have purchased 5 coffees, you will get the 6th one free. Yes, that is a wonderful promotion. I am truly enjoying, not only the wonderful coffee but knowing that one is free, is the best deal around in these economic times.
Not only are the coffees and muffins wonderful at Mornin' Rush, but Lynnette is friendly and enjoys providing you the best service possible. Lynnette's husband and family also help out at the Coffee House.
Mornin' Rush should be a big hit in Colorado Springs. If you are out and about on Filmore, stop in and get a great cup of coffee and a muffin and tell Lynnette you heard about her from here. Well worth getting off the freeway or driving a few extra miles to get to. You can even call ahead and have your order ready to go when you pull in.

Post a CommentWhat? No politics? I sense that you are trying to return to "normalcy", but this will never happen for us, Rose...lol. But good luck trying. I know I'm using movies (the film festival) to try to wean myself away from politics. Last night, I had my picture taken with Colin Hanks (up now on www.weeklywilson.com). Saw his new film "The Great Buck Howard." Good work on the coffee shop!
I love local coffee shops! I wish we had more where I lived! I may open one someday.
Interesting review. Thank You fer sharin' your honest opinions. Mizpah. ;-}}>
