The Mosquito Magnet Defender: Review

shannon day
Within the last month I bought the Mosquito Magnet Defender. Finally I decided to give in and spend the money on something that might finally work. We have 5 acres with a pond so mosquitoes and other biting insects are just part of life in the "great outdoors". After having tried every spray, ointment, candle and so on with no real results I am pleased to say that this product is worth every penny. I am finally able to take my two young children outside and not have me or them eaten alive! How exciting. The Mosquito Magnet Defender works by emitting a stream of carbon dioxide to mimic our breathing, once they notice that they are sucked up into the net and die. No open flame is used with the propane tank so it is safe to use outdoors.

The company says you can either put the Mosquito Magnet Defender by the pests breeding grounds or by where you are going to be. I have set mine up in the back yard, where the pond is, but near to the place my children enjoy playing and have noticed a huge reduction in the amount of mosquitoes that we have to deal with. The Mosquito Magnet Defender covers about half a acre and they do have other models that cover up to one full acre but for my families use this one is just perfect. I do not know how i would have made it through the summer months without the Mosquito Magnet Defender, finally my kids can go outside and play without such a high risk of being bitten by these annoying insects that also do carry disease. The money we spent on the Mosquito Magnet Defender was defiantly worth the peace of mind we now have knowing that the risk of becoming sick or just laying awake all night scratching is a thing of the past.

How the Mosquito Magnet Defender works (and does it!)

The Mosquito Magnet Defender uses patented counter-flow technology to lure the biting insects in, using carbon monoxide and an attractant, once they are lured to the Mosquito Magnet Defender they are literally "sucked" up into a net where they dehydrate and die within 24 hours.

The Mosquito Magnet Defender uses a 20 pound propane tank, the tank should last 21 days so no need to fill weekly even. Just a tad over once a month will leave your yard free and clear of these annoying pests. The Mosquito Magnet Defender is able to be used in rain or even sprinklers, just make sure that the machine is not directly getting sprayed by a sprinkler and it will continue to work. The net that are used are easily dumped out and cleaned, just empty and rinse, making sure to check for any holes or tears in the net that may cause it to not function properly. It is recommended that the net is changed out with a new one at the start of each season. I have recommended this product to my friends and family because of what I have seen it capable of.
