The Most Addicting and Entertaining Facebook Applications

Everyone has their preferences for Facebook Applications. Some people prefer level based games where others prefer different fun ways to get to know your friends. There really is an application for every person, and there are constantly new ones being made. A good way to find new applications is to ask what your friends are playing or just click the bar at the bottom left hand side of your screen that says Applications. Directly above this button, a menu will appear, click the link with the magnifying glass that says Browse More Applications. This link opens a page and allows you to view different categories of applications and look at reviews and ratings of applications.

Plenty of applications are addicting to play and some you may use daily. The ten most addicting applications are Treasure Madness, Bejeweled Blitz, Farm Town, Pet Pupz, (Lil) Green Patch, Cute Catz, Happy Horses, Living Social, and Astrology. The first, Treasure Madness, is a game. In this game, you are exploring South America and you dig up different treasures. Some tiles give you gold, others give you food for more health or a treasure. Every time you dig a tile a little bit of your health goes away (-10 health for the shovel, -11 for the machete, -12 for the pick, and -14 for the swamp boots. You must pay gold at different levels to get the new pieces of equipment, you start off with only a shovel. When you dig you gain experience points and when you hit the tiles with mini-games you gain more experience points for playing the game. There are several mini-games that offer fruit as rewards for completing a level. The treasures are an important part of the game. At the top of your game there is a Treasure button. When you click that button you will see different rows of items. These items are treasures. The treasures that you have are in color and the ones that you have yet to acquire will be faded out. When you complete a row or complete a collection, you are rewarded with Museum Dollars (Mu$). With enough Mu$ you can buy a health kit to regenerate all your health so you can play longer. It would take a long time to collect all those treasures by yourself, that's why Treasure Madness is even more fun when played with friends. You can post treasures you need to complete a collection on your wish list by clicking the link below the faded out treasure that says Add to Wish List. Your friends can see your wish list and can send you treasure if they happen to have what you need. You can also send gifts back and forth. Different gifts unlock at higher levels. You can send fruit or small treasures and health kits to your friends. You may only use one health kit that your friend has sent you every 24 hours. This is a fun game to come back to throughout the day. Every thirty seconds you gain one health point back, so every once in a while you can check back and play a little more. This game is constantly being made better. When you become a fan of the Treasure Madness page they can post game updates for you to read. They are always creating new and better maps and discounts on equipment. Treasure Madness is a game that can keep you occupied for a while and is hard to break away from. You just have to keep playing it.

Bejeweled Blitz is also addicting. This is a different sort of game where you compete with your friends. You are given one minute to match three or more gems so they disappear and give you points depending on how many you collected. Bigger combos award you more points and special gems to give you bonus points. When your minute is up you are directed to a chart that shows your score and you can see how many points you were awarded at different times in the game (15 seconds, 30 seconds, 50 seconds, etc). On the right side of your game window will be your leader board. This shows all your friend's scores and charts so you can compare. In this panel you can choose to send 'Smack Talk' to your friends. This sends them a notification and has a witty phrase about how you squash them in Bejeweled Blitz. You can send Smack Talk to any of your friends that play, even if your score is lower. Every week the high scores reset. The object is to have the highest score our of all of your friends. It does take practice, but after playing for a few minutes every day you start being at the top of your leader board. This game can go on forever, it all depends on when you're satisfied with your score.

Farm Town is the same type of game application as Treasure Madness. Basically, you have your farm tools; plow, harvest, water, and an icon for the market. in the right hand corner of the game window. You create your farmer which can be male or female, and customize it the way you like. Once you're in the game you will notice that you have an experience bar at the top of the screen and a panel at the bottom. You gain experience every time you use your plow or harvest tool. When the experience bar is filled you gain a level and the experience bar empties again. The panel at the bottom is a list of your neighbors. Your neighbors are your Facebook friends that also play Farm Town. You must send them a request through the application for them to agree to be your neighbor. You can visit your neighbor's farm and do various jobs to get coins. This can be anything from pulling weeds to watering the flowers. Your friends can also visit your farm. There is a gift menu where you and your neighbors can exchange helpful gifts; fruit bearing trees that yield experience when harvested, furniture, decorations, and other items. You can buy these things yourself, but you must use coins to buy them. Plowing uses coins, but is necessary to get more coins in the future. Use the plow tool on a green tile and that tile will be plowed. You can now plant some kind of crop on this tile that you may harvest later. Some plants grow faster than others and cost less to plant but also don't sell for very much. You need to find the crop that works for you. When you're ready to harvest, use the harvest tool on the crop and it will go in your inventory. You now must plow the remaining dirt patch if you want to plant in that spot again. After you have harvested all your crops, click your market icon and visit the market. There you will have the option to sell your crops, do this and you will get coins in return. You need these coins to be able to plow your farm and buy items, animals, and plant new crops. Other players that are not your neighbors may invite you to work on their farm while you're at the market. You can choose whether or not you want to do this. If you help them out on their farm they will pay you coins for plowing or harvesting their crops. This is a good way to make coins if you need them. With every level you unlock more crops and items that you can display on your farm or send to your friends as gifts. Since your crops all have a certain amount of time they need to become fully grown, you will find yourself coming back every so often just so you can quickly harvest and plow once more. This becomes addicting and gives you pressure to come back because you know that if you don't your crops with go to waste and you will be losing coins.

Pet Pupz is a fun game that will have your attention at least once daily. In this application, you create a dog to be your pet. You select from the different breeds and you name your dog. You also type in the dog's likes and dislikes. When you view your dog you will see stats on the left side and names on the right side of the window. Starting of the column on the left are your Puppy Points. You need Puppy Points in order to feed, take care of and play with your puppy. You are given a free 210 Puppy Points every day. Under the amount of Puppy Points you have, you can see the puppy's gender, loves, hates, age, birthday, hunger meter, happiness meter, health meter, and overall care meter. Every day your puppy's stats for hunger, happiness, health, and overall decrease, You must go to the menu at the top of the game window and select Feed, Play, or Care. These tabs will take you to a menu and you can select what you want to do with your puppy and pay Puppy Points to makes the stats go up. You can also train your puppy when you save up enough Puppy Points to do so. You will earn badges for spending your Puppy Points on training. You can gain extra Puppy Points by petting your friend's dogs. If you have completed all the training for your puppy you will be able to learn different Specialisms. These cost Puppy Points also, but once you are qualified your puppy can get a job. Under the Compete tab you will select the Jobz button if you want to send your puppy to work. The more Specialisms your puppy has the more jobs will be available to him. You are rewarded Puppy Points after your dog has worked for a certain amount of time. Under the Compete tab there are other buttons to choose from. Obedience Show, Flyball, Champz, Jobz, and Collections. If you compete in the Obedience Show, your select a level, the number of puppies competing and hit the compete button at the bottom of the screen. Under this button you will see your chance of winning given in a percent so you can adjust your level and the number of puppies to fit how many Puppy Points you want to win and the odds of you winning. If you compete in Flyball then you must have friends playing Pet Pupz too. In Flyball you compete against your friend's dog to see who can run the fastest, The better fed and taken care of your puppy is the faster they run. You are rewarded with Puppy Points and sometimes an item when you win. These items are important under the Collections button. The Champz icon doesn't appear until you have played for a few levels. It's for the more experienced player where you can compete with other Facebook Pet Pupz players (that aren't your friends). You win Puppy Points if you win a competition and you have a certain amount of Stamina so you can compete in these mini-competitions. You gain one Stamina point every few minutes. The Jobz icon won't pop up until your dog has been trained for a Specialism, then they will be able to work. Just like in Treasure Madness, you can collect items in this game and you're rewarded when you complete a collection. Where Treasure Madness is all about Aztec and Mayan items, you will find bones and pet items in Pet Pupz. There are several opportunities for you to pick up different items. Whenever you train for something or collect your daily Puppy Points you have a chance to pick up an item to add to your collection. This game never really gets old because there is so much to do with your puppy. It's not one of the sillier pet applications that are fake and full of color. Pet Pupz uses real pictures most of the time and make the game seem better than others like it.
