The Most Complained About iPad 2 Features After Its Launch

The Worst Features of the iPad 2

Millionaire Hoy
Analysts have the iPad 2 pegged at selling over 1 million units during its first weekend and now that there are over 1 million of them in the homes of fans, here are the most complained about features after its retail release.

The Camera

The front and back facing cameras were one of the most raved about features before the iPad 2's launch, but ironically, it's the most complained about feature after its release. The front and back facing cameras were thought to be advanced enough to record HD movies in the new iMovie app and take advanced still photos, but while most people envisioned advanced front and back facing cameras on the iPad that'd be comparable to an iPhone 4, the iPad 2's cameras are more comparable to the shoddy quality of the 4th generation iPod Touch.

Smart Covers

Apple fans have had a mixed response to the iPad 2's Smart Covers accessory. On one side, people are "wowed" by how the Smart Cover automatically turns powers on and off and magically aligns to the iPad 2 and on the other hand, consumers are disappointed with how lack of protection and cheap quality of the new Smart Cover accessories.

Lack of Retina Display

Retina Display was a rumored iPad 2 feature that would have more than doubled the new tablet's resolution and make for a more high definition display than what the iPad 2 shipped out with. Although Apple debunked the Retina Display rumor during their iPad 2 keynote speech, lots of consumers were still under the impression that Retina Display would still be featured on Apple's new tablet - and those that knew better, still resent not having this feature.

Defects

The iPad 2 is set to topple all current generation tablets, but the first ones to ship have been reported to have a few screen defects. The iPad 2 has been reported to have some sort of yellow leaking screen defect and another major defect concerns screen bleeding around where the iPad 2's camera is located. Considering the hefty price of Apple's second generation tablet, it's a shame that these kinks weren't corrected before shipping - and hopefully these are the only defects of the new iPad.
