The Most Creative Halloween Costumes I Have Seen

As I walked into the Wal-Mart by my home, I saw a lot of little children in a lot of different costumes. There were countless ghosts and goblins, adorable puppies, Sesame Street characters, and fairy princesses. There was a Halloween costume contest going on, and boy was I glad that I didn't have to judge it. There were a lot of very creative costumes. One of the most creative Halloween Costumes that I saw was a human tornado. A child had a black trash bag over his body with a hole cut out for his head. On the trash can, there were plastic farm animals and toy houses glued on, along with odds and ends of trash and rubble. There were a lot of different very creative Halloween costumes, but the best one I saw had to be the life size Barbie Doll.

A Barbie doll doesn't sound like a very creative Halloween costume, but it was in the details where the imagination ran wild. There was a large cardboard box, like that from a refrigerator, and it was painted pink. The Barbie logo was also painted on there, with all of the details like a Barbie box. The front of the box was cut out to where you could see inside the box. Inside the box, there was a child in a big, pink ballroom gown, complete with purse and slippers. The child was wearing a long, blonde wig and was wearing make-up. Now, I know you must be thinking this was a very cute little girl getting to live out her dream as a Barbie. This is incorrect. In all reality, it was a very embarrassed little boy that had a very competitive mother who wanted to win the costume contest. This child did end up winning, so I am sure it was all worth it for him.

If you wanted to make this very creative Halloween costume, it really is quite inexpensive if you have the time and artistic ability to put into it. Finding a large box is simple. Then all you have to do is cut out the front and paint it by looking at a real Barbie box for an example. Once that is done, it is very easy. All you have to do is climb inside, of course there should be handles cut out of each side for easier movement and the bottom should be cut out so you are able to walk. Simply dress up in a ball gown and you are ready to parade around as a Barbie. Of course, if you are a boy, you may want to opt for going as Ken.
