The tequila contained in these bottles is a blend of 10 year old and 5 year old tequilas from a so far secret province of Mexico. It is a good bet that the actual tequila will probably never be tasted since this would devalue the investment of the buyers significantly. Therefore, it is hard for anyone to say whether the liquor contained in these bottles is worth as much as an expensive house or in the case of the Diamante, a Rolls Royce and an extremely expensive house.
If this high ticket tequila is beyond your means, there are several less expensive varieties produced by this company which you may be able to afford. The next in order of descending cost is Ley .925 Premium 1, Project Meshico 33 in a platinum and yellow gold bottle for only $150,000 limited to 33 bottles.
This might still be too high for many tequila fanciers so a Project Silver and Gold .999 MX with a limited bottle run of 999 bottles, can be purchased for a mere $25,000. The bottle is made from pure 999 parts per thousand silver and a center plate made from yellow gold.
I'm still out of the "buy it now" category and the thoughtful people at Ley .925 Tequila made a 4 year old tequila for use lesser folks, or "peons plus". This is the Grand reserve Passion Azteca 100% blue agave also in limited edition. This crystal bottle contains no platinum, no gold and no silver. However, it can be purchased for a somewhat more reasonable $3,500.
I checked my liquor store and this low end Ley .925 tequila product was not available at the time.
Two additional bottles are produced by Ley .925 that may one day show up in at high end liquor store. These are the Ley .925 Silver and Anejo limited editions. While these low end tequilas from the Ley .925 Company are still pricey, and still released in limited edition, they are more easily attainable and fit my budget better. The only problem is finding either of these two available in a local Liquor store.
If you do please let me know if it is worth the money and were to get them.

Post a CommentHoly toledo- am very glad I don't drink anymore! Too rich for my blood
That's just plain crazy - I could do a whole lot better things with that kind of money than drink it in a night.
That's a lot of money for a bottle of tequila! Holy cow! Think I'll pass. LOL!
So funny!!!
I think the guy who, buzzed on cheap tequila, ends up proposing marriage, would consider THAT the most expensive bottle of tequila in the world!
I'm surprised Tequila isn't a "controlled substance". It certainly gives me a buzz more quickly and more potently than other adult beverages- of course it could be the salt or the lime! I don't know how much better this expensive stuff can be compared to plain old silver Jose Cuervo, my tequila of choice.
It's a good thing I don't drink anymore! I loved tequilla, this is a little out of my price range, ha! great article.
Crazy!
There are a lot of people with too much money. Some made it honestly but others through ponzi schemes or drug trafficing. My guess in this case it would almost have to be a drug lord. No one wastes that much honest money.
For anyone who can afford that bottle: S/he clearly has simply TOO MUCH MONEY! Anyone disagree with that?
