The Most Random Weird Things Found on the Internet

Most of us recognize the 7 wonders of the world and heartily agree that they are indeed amazing things. There are however, so many more things in the universe that are strange and unique and yet they aren't even a blip on the 7 wonders radar. Here are some really cool and weird random things in the world.

World's Largest...
We all love the supersize option at McDonald's. Following that same theory here are some really zany, overly huge things. Nicole Richie supposedly loves burritos, I wonder if she's seen the world's largest one.

World's largest frying pan
Remember when John Travolta had to see the world's largest frying pan in the movie Michael? Well, there really is one. The original frying pan was created in Long Beach Washington in 1941 by the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce. The sad thing is the pan no longer exists. There is a replica however that travels from place to place in the Northwest as an advertisement for the Long Beach Peninsula area. It is 14.6 feet from the handle and 9.6 feet across the center of the pan.

World's largest burrito
Burrito Real worked with La Costena at Rengstorff Park in Mountain View California to create the world's largest burrito ever made. This gigantic gastro-nightmare weighed in at 4,500 pounds and was 3,578 feet long. It was officially dubbed the world's largest burrito by the Guinness Book of World Records in 1997. World's largest roller skate
Hugo's skating rink in Warrenton Virginia houses the world's largest roller skate. It's a giant statue that sits in the parking lot like a landmark for giving driving directions. Can you imagine telling people to turn left at the giant roller skate? Even funnier can you imagine their faces when they see it? There isn't a lot of information about the skate but you can see a picture of it on Luke's Roadside Attractions web site.

Who're You Calling Weird?
There are plenty of weird things out there in the world. Take the Paris Hilton sex tape for example. It's weird to me that watching her have sex is so interesting that I'm curious to see if she has sex in some strange way that the rest of us don't. World's weirdest drink
Apparently there's a drink out there that's probably too weird for even Anthony Bourdain. Es Cendol Kelapa Muda is a drink made from bird spit, fungus, stewed red beans and coconut, Cendol is another ingredient in the drink, which is really, just a substance made from pea flour. Interestingly it also contains vermicelli noodles. The drink is served cold and is green in appearance. Next time you visit Vietnam, give it a try and let us know how it tastes.

World's weirdest parade
The Mermaid Parade Ball is hosted by the same non-profit organization that produces the Coney Island Circus Sideshow. The parade itself is about remembering the Mardi Gras Coney Island used to have. The Mardi Gras lasted from 1903 to 1954. The whole celebration, parade and ball, is about the sea, the sand, Coney Island history and celebrating summer. The parade is easily recognizable because those that participate are dressed like mermaids, sea creatures, lighthouses and Neptunes. Every year someone new is appointed as King Neptune and Queen Mermaid. Past Kings and Queens have been David Byrne, Queen Latifah, Ron Kuby, Curtis Sliwa, Moby, and David Johansen. Right after the parade is a gathering where there is live music, raffles, burlesque shows and sideshow acts.

World's weirdest hotel
When it's hotter than blazes outside why not stay at the Ice Hotel in Quebec Canada? The Ice Hotel is built from fresh snow and ice every year. It takes 15,000 pounds of snow and 500 pounds of ice to create. It features 34 rooms, beds made of ice, art galleries and an ice chapel. The Internet's Twilight Zone
According to the Netcraft Web Server Survey in February 2007 there are 108,810,358 web sites on the internet. Of course there are about a zillion sites that pay homage to things like iPods, celebrities, food, myspace hacks, Google, twitter, digg, squidoo, sex, discount airfare and porn but I wonder how many of those 108,810,358 sites are devoted to weird things. Pavement Gear
I thought I had seen it all. I'm by no means a newbie to the net but this website had me laughing my katookus off! Pavement gear offers an image collection of clothing found on the sides of the road. These people drive around the country's roadways and pick up clothes, as well as other strange objects (including a prosthetic leg and stamped eggs), clean them up, take pictures of them and then donate them to homeless shelters. Send Me Your Wound
I was wrong, I hadn't seen it all. This website actually requests that you send them pictures of any wounds you or someone you know has on their body. The grosser and more explicit the picture better. It's a social networking site for people who like looking at injuries. These guys even have their own theme song. Really gross and really weird!
