The Most Romantic Restaurants in Atlanta

A Dinner to Remember Valentines Day 2010

Kirby Rooks
Since I am a guy I wonder what women look for in a romantic evening out? Truth is it's not that complicated.

The first place to start is to locate and make reservations at a romantic restaurant. Since I live in Atlanta I am looking for the most romantic restaurants in Atlanta. Here is what I came up with after spending an afternoon looking at websites, menus, atmosphere and reading about chefs.

Au Pied de Cochon
3315 Peachtree Street NE
Atlanta, Ga. 30326

This restaurant is located in the InterContinental Buckhead Hotel. Very swanky and impressive, if your going for the knockout punch this is it. Atmosphere plus at this beautiful hotel.

Nothing softens the heart like French cooking and this is a great place to get the taste of France. Also it has a very nice lounge to enjoy before or after your meal. Want to sweep the little woman off her feet and into your arms? Rent a room for the night and prepare yourself for a remarkable evening of food, drink and love.

Babette's Café
573 North Highlands Ave. NE
Atlanta, Ga. 30307

This restaurant is nestled in the trendy Inman Park area and is more casual in nature but with a European style dining experience. A mix of French, Italian, Spanish and Mediterranean foods that are simply prepared by Chef Marla Adams for your enjoyment.

Located in an early 20th century cottage with a comfortable and romantic setting. Chef Adams brews up the slow cook delights for her unique idea of tapas or small plate dinners.

Don't be surprised if your sweetie starts to get those "I adore you" eyes before you even finish the main meal.

Ray's on the River
6700 Powers Ferry Rd.
Atlanta, Ga. 30339

If you like good service and the feeling of being important you need to go to Ray's. With three restaurants in town you can pick as to your atmosphere and menu. I promise you the greatest service in Atlanta no matter which you pick.

I took my beautiful wife here for our 25th wedding anniversary because I wanted it to be memorable and it didn't disappoint us. We were given extra service, free bottle of wine and hand-calligraphied menus with our name and anniversary year as keepsakes.

My wife still talks about that night. And by the way the food was excellent.

These restaurants are without a doubt great places to make it a dinner to remember on Valentine's Day 2010. Make your reservations early this year.
