Whether it's your anniversary, Valentine's Day, or just a night out with your spouse, visiting a romantic restaurant is far better than pulling up to the drive-through window. Every woman wants a fine-dining experience but men aren't always sure what establishments have been given 5 stars. Although they have the best intentions some men just aren't able to pick out the right place to have a delicious meal. So I've listed the top 5 most romantic restaurants in the Omaha area.

1. "V.Mertz" is located in the "Old Market Passage Way" at 1022 Howard Street in Omaha. Their dinner entrees include: "Oregon Natural Lamb Chops," "Wild Columbia River Salmon," and "Wild Hawaiian Walu;" for dessert you can choose from "Lychee Sorbet," "Carmel Pecan Cheesecake," or "Chocolate Ganache Torte," just to name a few. When selecting a beverage you can order off the wine list or choose a soft drink or iced tea. 2. "Johnny's Italian Steakhouse" is located at 305 North 170th Street in the "Village Pointe Shopping Center." The menu is filled with an assortment of Italian dishes; "Salmon Fiorintino," "Veal Sinatra," and "Parmesan Crusted New York Strip Steak" are just some of the entrees available. To satisfy your sweet tooth you can order "Grand Marnier Chocolate Mousse," "Crème Brulee," and "Tiramisu." To wash it all down you can choose from coffee, soft drinks, and a selection of spirits. Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 11:00 am to 10:00 pm; Friday and Saturday 11:00 am to 11:00 pm; Sunday 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. Reservations aren't required but suggested. 3. "The French Café" was named "The Best Formal Dining Restaurant of 2010" in Omaha's Magazine "Best of Omaha." Restaurant hours are: Brunch 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Bistro 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and Dinner begins at 5:00 pm. 7 days a week. In addition to French Cuisine "The French Café" also offers some American dishes such as steak, pork chops, etc. You'll find this restaurant located in the "Old Market Passage Way" at 1017 Howard Street. "The Flatiron Café" is located at 17th & Howard in the historic Flatiron building and has been given rave reviews; "A special occasion restaurant in every sense of the word" says food critic John Keenan from the Omaha World Herald. Lunch is served weekdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm; dinner Monday through Thursday 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm; Friday and Saturday 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm; and Sunday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
