The Most Thoughtful Christmas Gifts to Give to Close Friends and Family

Jesus Saves

It's becoming harder and harder to get the gifts that satisfy people any more. Everybody seems to have everything, and even if they don't, it seems like the concept of joy and happiness has been sucked away by our materialistic culture. It seems like no gift is good enough, and it takes a certain amount to bring a fake smile to someone's face. While this doesn't apply across the board to everyone, this is a sad reality for most families today. However, there are still many people who appreciate the heart behind the gift over the gift and it's monetary value. So what can you get someone that will show how much care, instead of how much you can afford? Here are some ideas that you can use your creativity to take to an even higher level:

Build them a website - Get some cheap or free web hosting anywhere online, and make a small website for them appreciating them and if possible, put up some pictures that remind you of some of the great moments you had together, and just let them enjoy it. This might even be free if you pick something that's free. Some of them include freehosting.com and geocities. You could also make a free blog about them, and go through the entire time you've been with them in form of one post after another. It's sweet and sentimental, it's free and it's something that they can look at for life. Plus, you can add or subtract stuff from it as and when necessary (although I recommend that you give them the username and password to it, so make the password something generic and not personal). A good hosting company is dot5hosting and it costs under $5 per month. Keep in mind that is something that is time-consuming, though you will have a lot of fun doing it too. This will show how much you care, even if you didn't spend any money on it.

A photo album - A photo album with pictures that you painstakingly assemble for them is something that they are bound to appreciate, especially if they are of the female gender. Show them how much you care with a chronological series of pictures from the beginning to the current time that you've had with them and watch their eyes go out of focus as they reminisce about the good times. This is something that will be definitely appreciated. If you're good with computers, you could even add the date, the time, and a short prose or poem (or just a sentence) about that particular moment on the picture. Add some cool effects too if you want and it'll make it even more special.

A Bible with the True Gospel - This is by far the most important and the best things you can share with and give to anyone. Nothing beats eternal salvation through Jesus Christ. Make an effort and share the True Gospel with them, not some philosophical nostalgic moment that doesn't really have a bearing on their life, but the True Gospel of Jesus Christ - ask them lovingly to repent of their sin and accept the salvation offered by Jesus on the cross by trusting in Him and His work on the cross. Ask them to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Jesus can not be someone's savior without being the Lord of their lives. This is by far the most important gift you can give anyone - sharing God's gift with them. If you truly wish to show love towards someone, Jesus is the way to go. The most unloving thing you could do would be to not share God's love and God's Son with them.
