The Moto Q 9h global doesn't have the word "global" appended to its name just for the kick of it, the Moto Q 9h is a quad band world phone compatible with 850, 900, 1800, and 1900 MHz network bands. The Moto Q 9h also has HSDPA capabilities, 2.4 inch display, integrated Bluetooth with A2DP profile, integrated 2.0 mega pixel camera with digital zoom and LED photo light indicator, microSD expansion slot, 64MB built-in memory, 325 MHz processor, micro USB 2.0 connectivity, Windows Mobile 6 OS, and a built-in GPS.
The Moto Q 9h is really for the power user. It can edit your documents using Documents To Go. Though the mobile office is still included in the Moto Q 9h, after all it is a windows mobile device, Documents To Go still offers better editing features as it keeps the original formatting of your documents. Another value added feature that Motorola packed unto the Moto Q 9h is the Opera Browser. Windows Mobile Device usually uses pocket internet explorer when you have to surf websites which, like the desktop internet explorer, is very slow and you don't exactly get the whole web 2.0 experience. The Opera Browser on the other hand has tabbed browsing and you can select an option wherein the browser would be detected as a desktop browser rather than a mobile phone browser so you can see the web page as is, just like on your desktop PC. The added GPS on the Moto Q 9h is a welcome factor however, you need to subscribe to TeleNav GPS navigator for $9.99 a month. I say, if you don't want to spring for that amount then just use Google Maps, after all, the Moto Q 9h is HSDPA capable.
The Moto Q 9h is a little bit wider than the Blackberry Curve but it makes using the QWERTY keyboard easier. The keyboard is tactile and placed evenly, not packed so you can be assured that you won't accidentally press two buttons at once if you have big fingers. Motorola even placed several shortcut keys on the Moto Q 9h which will eliminate too many button pressing when trying to access one particular program.
The processor on the Moto Q 9h is fast, I was able to load applications quickly and I didn't even soft reset the phone for a day! That's a plus considering that this is a windows mobile device and when you're using windows, it's almost a natural thing to do a soft reset everyday. One thing that's lacking on the Moto Q 9h is Wi-fi. Yes, Wi-Fi! Of all the things that Motorola didn't put on the Moto Q 9h, it has to be Wi-Fi. Some may argue that it is an HSDPA phone but come on, we're talking AT&T, it's not like they've put 3G networks all over the US. I would have gladly taken out the GPS feature for Wi-Fi connection.
All in all, if you're looking for a stellar QWERTY mobile phone with 3.5G connectivity, the Moto Q 9h is the cell phone for you.
