The Motorola site has them for $59.99, but I was able to find the Motorola Motorokr S305 on Amazon.com for $36.00. (In this economy, you gotta save where you can!) So I ordered a pair.
The first thing you notice is that unlike the headphones of the old days, the Motorola Motorokr S305 does not sit on the top of your head, rather they have a neckband that fits to the back of your head, and hooks that go over your ears.
The Motorola Motorokr S305 sports very comfortable foam pads, and even after a few hours of wearing them, they still felt good to me.
The sound quality of the Motorola Motorokr S305 is very good. I used them for both taking calls and listening to music. I was surprised that a ear pad that fit over my ears, would actually act as a mouthpiece as well. People I talked to did say that while they could hear me, that from time to time, my voice sounded a bit muffled.
I really didn't get the Motorola Motorokr S305 to use as a hands free phone in the first place. That was simply and added bonus. I really got them to listen to music without bothering anyone else. I like to crank my music up sometimes, and if you are listening t loud rock and roll, or Tchaikovsky, without a headset, you get funny looks from those around you. The quality of the treble, base and midrange gives you a near concert hall experience.
Another thing is that I hate, absolutely hate ear buds. They make me feel like I have cotton stuffed into my ears, and when someone comes up to me; they have to practically hit me over the head to make me notice them. You lose ambient sound with them.
With the Motorola Motorokr S305 you don't lose sounds around you completely. Some might feel that this detracts from the music they are listening to, but I can tune that out.
The controls for the Motorola Motorokr S305 are located conveniently for the most part, on the rights headphone. They are situated along the face of the outside, with the volume control on the top.
While I would have gladly spent the money on the Motorola website, finding this headset on Amazon.com was a plus. The Motorola Motorokr S305 is a great buy. I highly recommend you get a pair for yourself.
