The Mouth - Adlibs Ltd

If you're new to the Dallas area or are just tired of the same ole' hometown entertainment, go to 'The Mouth' on Main Street, to relax and enjoy the comedy show. This is exactly what it says it is, an ad-lib comedy show, meaning the audience participates and the local comedians make it up as they go along. We have to give them props just for that, and accomplishing a very entertaining and humorous one and a half hours of laughter for their visitors. Suggestions from the audience are prompted and given freely. They range from a list of adjectives, nouns, or life situations. They even used a lady for sound effects, who admitted it was her birthday. She did very well, adding to the skit's element of Improv. Even some easy-going jabs at the audience went over without a hitch. There was every type of comedy you could imagine; imitations of mental conditions, personalities, some anal humor, a pinch of sexual innuendos and bodily functions, and many clean areas that were done with complete professionalism. This is the first time I have gone to their show. Initially, I was concerned that it would be a flop, but less than five minutes later I was laughing. I laughed so hard throughout the show that my face muscles started aching. My friend was immediately afflicted with the giggles. Many of the people around us were regulars, and they were even immediately drawn in by the comedians' expertise at delivery. I've had opportunity, as many have, to enjoy many of the most famous comedians and I would rate these guys as swimming with the rest in the mainstream. The more famous comedy shows are, the more expensive they are to attend. Therefore, we cannot frequent these show as often as we would like. This show is a very inexpensive $20 at the door, $18 when reserved in advance, and they take cash, credit, and debit. The parking is easy to find and use without a dime spent. Soda and water are available for refreshments, and alcohol consumption is kept at a minimum. The seating arrangement is open and more chairs can be added as the crowd becomes larger. It is quite a cozy little room, with small candles burning at each table, and it exudes comfort. The attire of the guests, as well as, the hosts, is casual, so you can go in your work clothes for that night without getting any dirty looks. These comedians are self-admitted comedy whores for your party needs, and they offer a six weeks course in their School of Improv that is available to teens as well. Their shows are Friday nights at 9 p.m., Saturday nights at 7:30 and 10 p.m. They are located at 2626 Main Street, Dallas, TX.
