This sounds like a real life "Case 39." The movie "Case 39" was released to DVD on Jan. 4. "Case 39" stars Renee Zellwegar and child star Jodelle Ferland. "Case 39" shows the parents of Lilith Sullivan (Jodelle Ferland) shove her in an oven and try to burn her alive. Renee Zellwegar played the social worker who tried to save Lilith from her abusive family.
Is it just a coincidence that soon after the release of the movie "Case 39" a father throws his son in an oven just as Lilith's parents throw her in an oven? Movies can influence us on subconscious levels. It appears the real life Lilith is an 11-year-old boy named Chris Moss. James Moss shoved his son in an oven on May 12, 2010 just one year and four months after the release of "Case 39" on DVD.
James Moss was reportedly abusive to his son because he believed him to have stolen $20 from his wallet. The punishment does not seem to fit the crime. Maybe he really believed his son to be demon possessed like Lilith on "Case 39". The punishment would seem more fitting if this was the case.
Silive reports that due to Chris Moss' plea his father, James Moss walks away with four months of weekends in jail and five years of probation. Seems like a mere slap in the hand considering what this father did. In addition to his jail time James Moss has to spend a year living separately from his son. Now 11-year-old Christopher was 9 years old at the time of the heated assault.
Watch on YouTube as Lilith is put in an oven by her parents in the movie "Case 39," and ask yourself if you can imagine a parent doing such a thing in real life. This seems to be a case of a real life "Case 39."

Post a CommentSome people are so stupid. It's unbelievable.
Heartbreaking
I DO remember reading your piece( thinking WTH) and also thinking about how 'morbid' children's fairy tales--Hansel and Gretel-are when they come to life. I wonder if sometimes these long ago authors based some of these on fact as there was no tv or internet to spread such news.
Well written...
Just cannot understand some people. Great article
WOW...some people do not deserve children.
disturbing but interesting
Whatever the story, these two should NOT be living under the same roof again...
My comment is: No comment! - People have the capacity to go either way - good or evil...Guess we will have to "wait and see" what happens next in this real life "ongoing story". Rebecca, I am thinking that the father had no priors and the child is an angel at school with lots of friends... Any back story on this? Maybe the father had some mental disorder at the moment but otherwise was really stable... I mean, you don't just have $20 missing and decide to bake your son... there IS more to this story... Do you have a follow up piece coming? If yes, I would love to read that! :-D
eye for an eye..... this is very disturbing news.
This is really terrible. Thanks for writing this informative article!
