Exhibits
Now once inside the center, you can find out if you've got what it takes to "Train with Ali. In this interactive exhibit you can test your boxing abilities against the champ. With a recreation of Deer Lake Training Camp, visitors can shadow box with Ali, or even feel the power of his punch on the heavy bag. Different boxing techniques are also taught by Laila Ali in this exhibit.
Take a personal journey through the life of Ali in the "Light the Way Theater." This innovative film was made to inspire visitors to be the best they can. In this exhibit you can relive the moment in 1996, when Muhammad Ali carried the Olympic torch in Atlanta for the Olympic Games.
Visitors at the center can travel back in time when historical events such as the Vietnam War, and the civil rights movement made history. Understand how famous people such as: Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr, and John F. Kennedy, left their footprints in history, and also changed the world around us.
Be sure to watch the champ "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee" at video stations in the center. Here you can watch fifteen of Muhammad Ali's most famous fights. These fights also include some very interesting commentaries before, and after the fights.
Boxing fans will also enjoy the award winning presentation of "The Greatest," which is displayed on a boxing ring canvas. Watch as the time-line of Muhammad Ali's boxing success evolved to win three "Heavyweight Championship Belts." Visitors at the center can also "Walk with Ali Online" and find out what their strengths are, in order to achieve their goals in life.
Art
Before you leave the center, make sure you check out the creative side of the champ. In this section of the center you can read some of Muhammad Ali's poetry, and also see some of his famous sketches. Also showcased at the center is the "global collection" of children's artwork, which is displayed on the fifty-five foot "Hope and dream wall."
The legacy of Muhammad Ali is preserved in this cultural attraction in Louisville, KY. This educational center is "inspired by the ideas of it founder Muhammad Ali." Over two stories of exhibits display the six core values by which Muhammad Ali lives. This center inspires its visitors to pursue their greatness which lies waiting inside.
