Hot Dogs have skin!
Yes, you heard that correctly. Hot dogs use a thin layer of skin, whether it be made out of chicken or pork does not matter. The labeling company must tack this onto the label to let you know what is what.
Turkey Franks are gross!
Turkey Franks are supposed to be made out of just turkey, or so you would think. Not so, Turkey Franks can also have chicken skin inside of them. This is not very appretizing and that is why Turkey Franks are gross.
Listeria can grow in Hot Dogs!
Listeria is a disgusting bacteria that can grow in your Hot Dogs and can be very harmful to you. Most lunch meat, if you must eat it, should be cooked and heated up. The cooking of your Hot Dog or lunch meat will help kill harmful bacteria and this will keep you safe.
Hot Dogs are made from byproducts!
Before you bit into the Hot Dog realize that you might be eating a heart, liver, or kidney of some animal. Byproducts is a fancy way to say ORGANS of animals. This is true and quite nasty.
I used to be a huge fan of a Hot Dog before I knew what was in them. They were awfully tasty to me before I did all the research on them. Now I can not look at a Hot Dog without wanting to get sick!

Post a CommentAnd the person who wrote that is in college? Oh, oh dear. It looks as if political indoctrination has taken president over teaching high quality writing skills in at least this persons college. I think this person needs to do a lot more research on both hot dogs and on foods in general before trying to support her opinion on other, more mature people.
You can send that very hot dog to me.
Oh, and the title really brought out the Beavis and/or Butthead in me (huh-huh....Nasty Weiner....huh-huh!)
There are a few out there that taste AWESOME and have NO FILLERS OR BY-PRODUCTS at all!! Might I suggest "Hebrew National" hot dogs. They are truly good, and since they are KOSHER, they can only contain choice cuts of beef. Otherwise, it is just like the old saying goes: "folks who like hot dogs really shouldn't see how their made!" What an awesome informative piece you've written here!
