The Natalee Holloway Case: Test Results on Bone Found in Aruba Due Tuesday

CNN is reporting that The Netherlands Forensic Institute has announced that they will release test results on a bone fragment found on an Aruban beach on Tuesday, November 23rd.

American Tourists from New Jersey found the jawbone with a tooth attached on a beach near the Phoenix hotel. After it was preliminarily determined to be the bone of a young caucasian female, there were murmurs that this might be the key in the search for missing American teen, Natalee Holloway who disappeared after a night of partying on the island back in 2005.

The bone was sent to The Hague, and the FBI electronically provided experts examining the bone with Holloway's dental records. Aruba Solicitor General Taco Stein said that the results would be publicly announce on Tuesday.

Oh the language barrier...we're on the edge of our seats waiting for news from a guy named 'Taco Stein'... of course we are. Senior Frog is the Prime Minister, too.

The tourists that found the jawbone found another bone fragment, but that is said not to be a human bone.

This news will come after five years of investigations as to the whereabouts of the 18 year old Alabama teen that went to Aruba after her senior year, and disappeared after leaving a nightclub with Joran Van der Sloot. Van der Sloot has been implicated in the teen's disappearance and detained by Aruban officials twice, but released both times due to lack of evidence. He is also charged in the United States for wire fraud and extortion, as well as held in a Peruvian prison awaiting trial for the death of Stephany Flores on what would have been the 5th anniversary of Holloway's disappearance. Van der Sloot has given several different stories as to what happened that night, even confessing at one point to a Dutch journalist on camera, but said he made up all stories. Blaming his behavior on a severe gambling addiction.

If the results are Holloway's while it provides closure to her family that she is indeed gone, it only opens up more questions as to how the teenager met her demise. With Van der Sloot facing life in prison in Peru for another murder, there really isn't any incentive for him to be honest now.

It's all very sad. It looks like at least two young women have now lost their lives allegedly at the hands of Van der Sloot. One would probably be around today if Aruba had done things right the first time.

I can't imagine the torment and anguish that Natalee's family must have gone through over the years since her disappearance.
