The National Biometric ID Card
Dan Stein President Federation for American Immigration Reform is Behind the Push
This isn't a new idea. Below is an excerpt from Reason Magazine-Author Daniel W. Sutherland in 1997:
As Republican supporters of a worker registry prepared their legislative strategy, the most ticklish problem was to avoid the dreaded "national ID card" label. They concluded that the government could reliably verify that people are who they say they are only by assigning everyone a unique and secure number. It would be logical and efficient to issue a card or document with the number printed on it. To guard against counterfeiting, the card would need to be encoded with biometric data such as a fingerprint, retina scan, voice pattern, or blood sample. But the sponsors of the immigration legislation could not admit this is where the law would lead.
Dan Stein has been involved with this for many years as well. His organization FAIR actually is focused on the right things, as far as immigration. However, his participation in the National ID card is outrageous.
This is the end of "Freedom" in America. The government has allowed just anybody to come in, for 25 years. They have opened the doors and now there are so many illegal immigrants and potential terrorists here, they are at a loss as to a course of action, other than making EVERYBODY be identified by having this National ID Card. This has a familiar, Biblical overtone, as in the "Mark Of The Beast" talked about in Revelations.
The government is running in circles, trying to get a handle on the immigration situation. We have over 12 million illegal aliens in this country. They are families, living below poverty level, no health care and a drain on the economy.
Does the cost of the years of lax enforcement and liberal influence, leave us to lose our freedom? It shouldn't!
As we watch our floundering government flail harder and harder trying to grab onto something positive for America, we have to also watch for the Control Freaks sneaking in stuff like this. Dan Stein is only a small part of the push to have a National ID card. This was part of a bill in 2005, supported then by Stein, that actually made it's way through the initial passing. This could be tacked on again on most any of the numerous things they are trying to pass in Washington. It was posed as an anti-terrorism measure in 2005. In 1997, it was portrayed as an "Immigration" solution. Yea, we were fighting with that then too. No progress huh?
Do you agree with a National ID card? Do you want your eye's scanned or your whole life on an ID card? This is real, this is today, happening in America now! Dan Stein was on TV talking, this week, about this going to Washington and eventually getting it passed. Stein is using the "Immigration" as the reason on this attempt as well.
Below is an excerpt from Humanevents.com-Author Roger Hedgecock, this week: 3-12-2010
Senator Lindsey Graham, ever the faithful follower of uber-RINO John McCain, scored three RINO initiatives in just one week.
Reminiscent of the "the band's getting back together" scenes from the movie "Blues Brothers", Graham and McCain reached back to the good old days of bipartisan shafting of conservative judicial nominees and offered the Democrats another "Gang of Fourteen"--this time to shaft the public with a bipartisan Obamacare bill.
Lindsey Graham to the rescue.
Graham and Schumer have been meeting on a "new" bipartisan immigration bill. The President beamed his approval, and the new Gang of Two had a press conference to announce the breakthrough.
The "new" immigration bill includes a "path to citizenship" for illegals, border security, and biometric I.D. cards for every American to insure that only those here legally can get jobs.
Meet the new bill--same as the old bill. Since 1986, Americans have been promised some variation of the three legged stool--amnesty, border protection, employer sanctions. Every time a bill passes, the illegals get the amnesty, the border remains open, and millions more illegally enter the country.
In 2007, the McCain/Kennedy bipartisan Immigration "Reform" bill was supported by the leadership of both parties in Congress and by the President. It contained the same three components. It was defeated because the public "won't be fooled again."
We are in a scary place in America. We are watching history being made. Not only the economy, but our government's downward spiral into confusion. America needs to participate or America is going to end up closer to a government control run amok, than ever before. If you are not in favor of a National ID card, NOW is the time to start saying it. Call, write, talk to your neighbors and friends. Tell them to call, write and talk to their friends.
If the FAIR organization has it's way, this will be a law soon. There are many states that have fought against it before, such as Montana. They refused to implement this in 2005, if it became law.
If you are reading this, you can find your Congressman or Senator online. Today would be a good day to call or write them. They are trying to slide this through without the public knowing. Wake Up America! NOW!
Here is one of several organizations fighting this. www.nonationalid.com

Post a CommentThis is crazy...we don't need another id.
My only Question is...what avenues are available to us to stop the rights as US citizens from invasion while we seek to curtail invasion of our borders and way of social structure?
Thanks for sharing your perspective on this.
