While Americans are working on the effects and outcomes of the E-coli scare on apples and Spinach. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard is planning their last major terrorist attack on American soil. 55 gallon drums containing liquefied VX, Mustard, and Saran gas have been transferred via cargo ships from the Iranian Islands of Abu Musa and Lesser Tunb to the Venezuelan port of Hiquerote. This transfer is undetected by US authorities.
At the airport in Hiquerote there are 12 Cessna 172 airplanes that are being modified. The highest quality model of Cessna 172 seats 4 and has a maximum flight distance of 700 miles. These Cessna's are having three seats removed and all excess weight removed, and being installed with an extra large fuel tanks allowing them to fly over 900 miles. Each Cessna will carry one member of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, 1 55 gallon of Saran, 1 55 gallon or VX, and 1 55 gallon container of mustard gas. This payload and weight will get these Cessna's into the jungles of southern Mexico where they will meet up with the drug cartels and refuel.
Each of the planes take off at 6 hour increments for Aeroporto Hiquerote so as to raise suspicion and land in the small mountain town of Nucatilli just outside of Tuxtla Gutierrez Mexico. This town is exactly 800 - 900 miles south of the Cessna's intended target of Brownsville and Galveston Texas. All of the planes land in Nucatilli without notice of the Mexican Air force or without detection from the air port located at Tuxtla Gutierrez.
While the planes are being refueled it is discovered that two of the planes have leaks in their new extended fuel tanks. Therefore they will be rerouted to a closer target of Cancun Mexico in an attempt to kill Americans that are on vacation in this popular Mexican resort.
The Cessna Plans take off from Nucatilli in 2 hour increments for not to raise notice of local authorities or that of the US Coast Guard searching for illegal drug shipments into America. The two damaged planes leave last 4 hours after all of the planes have left. All of the planes travel over the Caribbean Ocean without harassment towards the US border.
The two damaged planes arrive at Cancun first where they commence to disperse a mixture of VX, Saran and Mustard Gas over the beach line at close distances. The weather was perfect for dispersing, no wind, and temperature in the 80's and very sunny. The beach was loaded with vacationers. At first the vacationing American's think the planes dispersing the gas is conducting aerial maneuvers for a show. However, soon the vacationers started showing signs of blistering from the mustard gas along with watering eyes and coughing. After all the chemical agents were dispersed the pilots of the Cessna's crashed themselves into large hotels on the beach where American tourists were staying.
The Mexican authorities soon reported the attack and asked for assistance in the decontamination efforts. The US Coast Guard and US Navy rapidly sent C-130s and Hercules Helicopters to aid. It is estimated that approximately one thousand tourists died in that attack with many more with further health complications.
The further 10 cessnas continue to fly towards Brownsville and Galveston Texas. 5 are destined to release their chemical mixture over Mexican border town Brownsville and the other 5 over the port city of Galveston. The planes destined for Galveston fly into the US first and head north. They enter Galveston airspace at about 1300 local time and the planes entering Brownville airspace enter about 1315. They release their toxic mixture and finish within 10 minutes. They end by flying their planes into local reservoirs to contaminate the local drinking water supply with what remained in their 55 gallon drums.
The weather at the time of the attack was perfect for a chemical weapons release. There was close to zero wind, sunny, no cloud cover, etc. However, the ratio of dead was surprisingly small. This is due to the amount of work conducted in doors in buildings at 1300 on a workday. The majority of people affected by the chemical attack were outdoors at the time of the attack. The same can be said about the attacks on Cancun, the majority of the people killed were outside during the attacks. Once the attacks occurred in Texas, building facilities managers secured ventilation, secured access in and out of the buildings, and made their buildings into hard targets. This minimized the amount of people killed to hundreds instead of thousands.
But the areas chosen for the attacks were poorly chosen. The majority of Brownsville and Texas City is oil refining. Therefore there was a low cost to human life and it did not disrupt the American oil supply since it was a chemical attack. It did create fear in the general public, but not as much as if a conventional attack occurred at the same locations.
The attack on the drinking water supply was a minor disruption causing water to Galveston and Brownsville to be routed via other water supplies until their reservoirs could be verified safe. The airborne chemicals quickly dispersed to safe levels within a day.
