The Next Chapter

Lisa R. Strong
The time has come;
To close another chapter;
In this book called life;
I am glad that this one is done;
It took me a long time to finish;
And maybe there is still more to read;
Only time will tell;
Placing all my hopes;
On a temporary fix;
Although it may not be what I wanted;
Nor what I have expected;
But I will jump at the chance;
To experience new ideas;
And to meet new characters;
This may be the opportunity;
That has eluded me thus far;
I can only hope that this time;
The rug is tacked to the floor;
And that finally the prayers;
Offered to God by so many;
Will be answered at last

    Its always a rush, a thrill, a scary time to move onto the next chapter, just as we were getting so familiar with the last one. Well done and cheers to you. (And remember, you can always go back to read over a few lines of the last chapters from time to time.)

    Wow Lisa your poetry is just getting better and better. As I close the chapters in my life that seem to last the longest I have learned a great deal about myself. Thanks for sharing. Keep on writing. I am so proud of your progress. :-)
