The Next Spring Blockbuster? - Preminition

Premonition, scheduled to arrive in theatres March 16, 2007, will star Sandra Bullock as Linda Hanson. This ordinary housewife lives in a beautiful home with her handsome husband Jim (played by Julian McMahon) and her two lovely daughters. This movie will show a side of Sandra fans haven't seen in years - the action movie heroine, involved in a thrilling and twisting plot. With the leading man only infrequently at her side, Bullock will shine in this dramatic, action-packed role. This will not be the same fun-loving Sandra fans watched in Forces of Natureand Miss Congeniality 2, nor even the romantic, sloe-eyed Sandra from The Lake House. In Premonition, Sandra leads the cast as a woman whose frightening reality doesn't make any sense.

In this soon-to-be blockbuster, Linda Hanson will go to sleep one night in her perfect world. The next day, she will lose her husband. The day after that, she might lose her sanity. Premonition shows a disturbing reality where future and present collide, so that Bullock-as-Hanson will have to sort out the conflicting realities in hopes of finding an answer that might save her husband's life. This is the leading, actionable Sandra that fans first loved in movies like Speed and The Net.

Mennan Yapo directs Bullock, McMahon, Nia Long, Amber Valletta, and a host of others in Premonition. The PG-13-rated drama may seem like a big project for the German-born, relatively unknown director to make his big-screen debut with, but with Bullock in the lead the movie is sure to be a triumph. Could Bullock's intensity and acting caliber be enough to make the predictions of a successful Premonition come true?

The thrilling plot - a wife learns her husband is dead one day, only to find him alive and well the next - is certainly enough to draw fans to theatres. It will be a test of Bullock's acting and Yapo's directing to see if those same fans stay on the edge of their seats and interested in the machinations of Premonition.
