The NIght Bird's Cry, a Poem

A Poem About a Bird that is Driving Me to Distraction Even Though it is Winter

The Night Bird's Cry

After dark this bird sings loudly,
All through the entire night
It makes me want to scream
As sleep is such a fight.

It never shuts its little beak
As it screams so loud at me
Stay awake you silly person
Sounding like a wild banshee

I've always loved little birds
And hate to hurt my feathered friend
But at this point in my life
He is about to meet his very end.

I can not take more of his screech
That noise of his is overboard
I'm ready to cut his tiny throat
With a long razor sharp sword.

I need a good nights sleep you rotten bird
Please why don't you take a flight
I can't take one more hour of this sound
So shut up your noisy mouth tonight.

That would be miserable to deal with! Sounds like an article idea to me. Great poem on a frustrating situation!

We used to have coyotes in our back woods. What a racket! Hope you get some quiet.

I told somebody something like that a while back and they thought I was awful. I wished they had had my sweet little loud mouthed birds that started in about 5:00 a.m. right outside my bedroom window, when I hadn't been able to go to sleep till 2:00 or 3:00. They'll probably be back soon, and frankly, I dread it.

LOL, we went through the same thing a while back. Now the bird is gone and it's been replaced by the neighbor's yapping dog ... not sure which is worse!

I feel your pain. Any kind of animal noise in the middle of the night is so annoying! :)

LOL and oh no. I have a group of birds that come alive and sing sometimes when I turn on my porch light. I guess they think it is daylight or something...at least they do stop singing after a few minutes. Enjoyed this and I hope for your sake and theirs, these birds stop it! :-)
Do they sell "bird away" or is there such a thing. hehe.
