The No Website Way to Affiliate Profits

You Don't Need a Website to Profit from Affiliate Product Sales

Melanie L. Marten
Affiliate marketing is an excellent way to make money on the internet. An affiliate program gives you the opportunity to earn money for directing a customer or lead to another business. You are usually paid a percentage of the sale price, or a set amount for generating a lead.

It is very popular to build a website, or splash page, just to market one particular affiliate program. Others may include multiple affiliate products on a website. The website provides the content and the come-on for that particular affiliate program or product.

But what do you do if you do not have a website? Are you unable to join, and earn money from, an affiliate program?

One: Pick Your Topic

What topic are you interested in? You can find an affiliate product for almost any topic or keyword that you can imagine. It is quicker and easier to write web content for a topic that you are knowledgeable or interested in, so choose what you know!

Two: Pick Your Affiliate Product

Once you have your topic or keyword of interest, find an affiliate program that has to do with that topic. Clickbank.com, CJ.com (Commission Junction), or Shareasale.com are affiliate conglomerates that have thousands of affiliate programs you can join. Pick any product that you believe can sell and that matches your topic.

Three: Write Articles

Research keywords for your topic and start writing quality articles with them. Aim for a keyword density between three and five percent. Make sure your articles are not only keyword rich, but interesting as well.

The most important thing is to include your affiliate program link in the article or, if not allowed, in the author's biography at the end. You will then have a perfectly targeted affiliate marketing article.

Four: Distribute Articles

After you have one or more quality keyword articles with affiliate links attached, you must distribute them. The best way to do this is submit them to free article directories, post them on blogs or forums where allowed, or offer them directly to website or newsletter owners.

Five: Repeat and Profit!

If you write a quality article that ranks high in the search engines, people who are interested in that topic will read your article and find the affiliate link. Since they are targeted traffic, they may very well click on the affiliate product and purchase it or sign up.

You should aim to write one article each day. It is a good idea to write several articles for one affiliate program, but you should also spread your interests out over multiple affiliate programs as well.

Affiliate marketing without a website can be done to great affect. Article distribution is a popular way of getting traffic to your website, but it can also be used to generate traffic to an affiliate program link. Writing high quality, keyword rich articles will keep the customers finding and clicking on your affilia
