Let's just jump right into our little ditty about the copy cat film, shall we?
Carrey found fame being silly and stupid
The Pet Detective and Cable Guy are two roles he did
From time to time our funny man takes a serious turn
His fans of the funny these roles spurn.
But what of roles not funny but weird
Seems Carrey uniquely suited to these roles with no beard
His expressive face can be good or bad
He's even almost funny when he's mad.
Movies with numbers are full of legend and lore
United 93 took a look at the day our sense of safety tore
28 Days Later is a great movie my boss says
Se7en found Gwyneth's head in a box not wearing a fez.
It should not surprise that numbers mean cash
Each of the three movies mentioned made quite a crash
Being profitable is the name of the game
These flicks did that and even scored a bit of fame.
Have you noticed this film's story line and plot
Sneakily familiar, it reminds me a lot
Of Stranger than Fiction a recent release
Me think the writers need to call the plot police.
Both center on a man who is also a character in a book
He must figure out the mystery is he the pawn or the rook
And if the guy in the book dies a grisly death
Will his real life family and friends be bereft?
At the helm is Schumacher Joel
Who burst on the scene directing the Batman role
Don't accuse him of stealing a story from Will Ferrell
Or you could soon find your life very much in peril.
He did the Phantom, Phone Booth and 8mm too
He even is signed up to do Horton Hears a Who
Oh wait, that one is assigned to Jim Carrey
Who in the press denies girlfriend McCarthy he will marry.
Have I mentioned this movie is a thriller
Costar Virginia Madsen isn't known to be a killer
After her role in Sideways her career caught fire
Since then she's been a hot property for hire.
Finally, take a look at the number twenty three
Worn by both Air Jordan and Beckham yes siree
Both stand out stars in their chosen sport
And so hot any gal would take them into their fort.
Yes the key lies in 23 the number you see
Can funny man Jim be believable to you and to me
If you want to know if this movie is a Punt or a Pass
Let's take a trip back to the Pet Detective and ask Jim Carrey's ass.
