Since the beginning of Obama's campaign he has had a clear message to the American people, that he is the "voice for change" for America. Through clear and articulately delivered speeches Barack Obama has continuously proved that he does, indeed have that voice. His brilliant speechwriters and his mastered delivery of speech inspire his audiences with the same passion that he has himself. His fluid and articulate voice are reminiscent of speakers such as Martin Luther King Jr. and John F. Kennedy. Unfortunately, many critics of Obama, including the popular Clinton camp, believe that Obama is exactly what he describes himself as: simply a voice. Many further challenge the notion that Obama can transform his pleasing ideas from voice to action.
The premier reason for this belief is Obama's experience. Barack Obama talks a big game about change, and frankly it's quite impressive, however Obama lacks the history to prove that this may be anything more than showy discussion. Barack Obama just joined the U.S. senate in 2005. Additionally, when it came to important decisions, Obama often chose a "present" vote, which is a like a pass. These votes were on a range of topics from the economy to Iraq to healthcare. The present votes are a legitimate concern for many Obama skeptics who wonder if he is simply an impressive figurehead, perhaps more suited for a role as vice president.
Though a skilled politician and impressive speaker, Obama has instilled little confidence in voters, which provides reason for his lack of backing by the Democratic Party. Because of his novice-level experience, Obama may not seem capable of stepping into the intense role. Obama seems lacking in ability to make important decisions when it matters, hence his over one hundred present votes while in office.
With the final hours before Super Tuesday coming close, it is important for those tuning in to Obama speeches take his talk with a grain of salt. Obama is a young politician who still has to prove himself in the tough world of politics. So when listening to his ardent speeches that strike a note deep in our democratic hearts, it is vital that listeners keep in mind Obama's past. We will certainly be receiving an answer to the looming question in the next weeks, but until then I challenge American voters to continually ask if Obama can go beyond a practiced voice. Can Obama actually make these attractive words come to life, or does his political existence hinder simply on his ability to rally support through enticing speech? Actions, indeed, speak louder than words.

Post a CommentCan Barack do much more than talk? Why, yes he can. Has an impressive list of actions on his resume for any that care to know it.
...who says Lobbyists are real Americans. Dubai is not the USA and their lobbyist (among other countries) contribute to her campaign fund. She cited Bush for a conflict of interest in the Dubai port deal due to his brother Neil, but forgot to mention Bill who has been earning millions with his own Dubai involvement. Comment too long. Hillary's experience is relying on "faulty intelligence" and voting yes to Iran, despite cautions from China and Russia about another invasion. Not to mention we are in debt to China to pay for Iraq how does she plan to budget Iran? As someone who was forced to pay into Social Security and now told the government mismanagement of those funds means I probably will not get my promised benefits, makes me suspect her $5000. bond for every child. Citizens are already being overtaxed and oh, when the child is 18, maybe they will say, oops, sorry I promised you...Obama is more than talk. He is respected globally .
Funny he did not have speech writers back when he was a community organizer, saying virtually the same things he says today. He insured that veterans will not have to pay for meals in extended stays at VA hospitals. He made sure vets would not be re-evaluated to prove they have mental illnesses. Ever have to prove you have hallucinations? When woman contacted all Senators for help in South Dakota he was the only one to rally to them with letter and donation to their cause. He risked his own election to the Illinois Senate by being honest with a supposed unpopular opinion. His foresight proved to be correct in hindsight. He. along with Clinton and 8 co-sponsors passed election fraud prevention legislation. Clinton voted yes to the Iran Resolution whereas Obama introduced a Resolution to slow down the rush to invade Iran. He refuses money from lobbyists, unlike Clinton who...
Glad to see someone else recognizes this! Great article : )
