The Obama Tax Increase!

Raj
President Obama campaigned on the basis that he will not raise income tax on the non-wealthy Americans. He defined wealthy as anyone earning above 250000$ per year. He had promised, time and again, that those earning below 250000$ a year would not see a single penny of increase in their income taxes.

Almost half the country, back in Nov 2008, believed his words. Only 49% of people polled in Nov 2008 thought their taxes would go higher under Obama. 51% of people then thought it would be the same or less, by the time Obama completes his first term in office.

A Gallup poll released today shows that majority of the Americans think Obama will break his promise of not raising taxes on people earning less than 250000$ per year. The poll shows that almost 68% of Americans believe that their federal income tax will be higher by the time Obama completes his first term in office. Out of the 68%, 35% of them think that the income taxes will be "A lot higher", and 33% of them think that the income taxes will be "A little higher" by the time Obama completes his first term.

Tax increases are coming for sure! And it is going to hit us all, the middle class! Where else can Obama get the money for his "uncontrolled" spending? He has signle handedly quadrupled the national debt, and in just 6 months, has spent more than the spending of all Presidents combined, from George Washington to George W Bush!

Just because a poll said people believe taxes will go up means taxes will go up? Um, that's not the way it works.
