The Office is Back for Another Great Season

The Office season premier on NBC was funny, and highly anticipated. This is absolutely one of the funniest sitcom's NBC has offered in many years. Steve Carell is hilarious and ridiculous. Jenna Fischer is great. However I felt really disappointed by the first episode of the new season. Since the first episode who hasn't been hoping Jim and Pam would hook up? Well finally they do, and it drove me crazy in the first half of the episode when they denied dating! It took something away from it. And also, Jim and Pam have been friends for years. That does not mean they should seem like an old couple. Where is the romance and passion? If they are so comfortable together, it seems like the relationship won't last very long.

Michael Scott stays true to form in the first episode of the new season. After hitting Meredith with his car, he turns the entire episode into a way to turn the situation into not his fault. It is comical. Of course Michael steals the show, and makes you grateful he is not your boss!

Dwight and Angela are on rocky ground after Dwight freezes her cat to end its suffering. Angela was naturally devastated and in my opinion she won't trust Dwight after that mistake. Ryan, the temp is at Corporate now, and a guy wearing a turban now works in his place. This guy didn't seem like an interesting character.

I was so glad to see Karen leave the show. I despised her character for the simple fact that she is not Pam. I was so happy to see her empty desk. She was annoying, and I am glad she did not get the promotion to the corporate office. Kevin, Oscar, Phyllis, and Toby are back. Kelly is still on the show also as is Darrell and nearly everyone else. As you know Jan is living with Michael now and has been fired from the corporate office. Last season Jan also had breast implants, what she sees in Michael is beyond me!

The new season of The Office will certainly be as entertaining and filled with hilarious antics as the previous seasons. The office is a refreshingly funny series in a world of reality TV. I prefer the Office to all other currently running series on the NBC line up for Fall 2007. The Office is on weekly, Thursday nights after My name is Earl
