The Office on NBC Starts Season 4 on September 27

Returning this fall for their 4th season, The Office on NBC is one of the best shows on the network. Airing from 9:00 to 9:30 PM, The Office takes place at the paper company Dunder-Mifflin and stars Steve Carell and Rainn Wilson. This year promises to bring a lot of funny, unique and hopefully unexpected situations to the small screen this year.

Last season ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, with the eventual hiring of Ryan, the one time office temp and butt of many jokes in the group getting hired in as their new regional manager. Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, will have a tough time adjusting to the new and difficult role of answering to Ryan.

Michael Scott also has to worry about the restart of his difficult and rocky relationship with Jan, who is played by Melora Hardin. After her meltdown at Dunder-Mifflin, she has only Michael there to cry on, and being the easy going, easy taken advantage of guy he is, he lets her move in with him. The relationship is not what Michael wants, but once again he is too afraid to confront her on it. Prepare for this to bring Michael his own share of headaches and hilarity for the viewers!

But most importantly, what about Pam (played by Jenna Fischer) and Jim (played by John Krasinski)? They have had a chemistry since he left at the end of the previous season, only to have Pam's character pine for him this last year while he had another girl; to hold close. Pam has let him know her feelings, so it is all in his hands to decide. The writers refused to elaborate on this area, only saying it sure has the potential to be a big storyline in of itself.

Best supporting actor nominee for this year Rainn Wilson returns as everyone's favorite crazy employee, Dwight Schrute. As a unique and neurotic man who thinks he has more power than he is let on to believe, Dwight adds the hilarity, although unintentional on his part. His hidden office romance with Angela Martin (played by Angela Kinsley) has the potential to bubble up to the surface now too!

This year, entering their 4th season as one of the most watched comedies on the air, and probably the most popular for the network of NBC, The Office offers a chance for old fans to continue to enjoy the series and new employees to come in and get used to the show everyone is talking about.
