Fall TV on NBC

The Office started the new season on September 27, 2007 and there was a lot going on in the first episode. As the commercials said, you didn't want to miss the first two minutes, it started off with Michael talking about his life with Jan, but then he drove to work and things got interesting. As he pulled into the parking lot at Dunder-Mifflin he hits Meredith with his car. When Michael enters the office he informs the employees that Meredith was hit by a car and after answering a series of questions reveals he was the one driving the car that hit her. At the hospital, Meredith learns she may have rabies, learning this Michael tries to shift the blame from himself to Dwight for trapping the bat with her.

In an effort to seem like a caring person Michael organizes a fun run to raise money for rabies research. All the employees are required to participate in the race despite all of them realizing how stupid it is to have a charity race for research on a disease that already has a cure. Before the race Michael presents a giant check made out to Science for $340 to a nurse, who is actually a stripper. The majority of the money raised was spent on printing the giant check, and hiring the stripper/nurse to give it to. Then, the race begins, Creed and Stanley get into a cab and go out for drinks, meanwhile, Pam and Jim go to an estate sale on the race route, and Dwight admits to Angela that he killed her cat by putting it in her freezer. Toby wins the race, and Michael almost doesn't finish because he ate so much fettuccine alfredo before the race and refused to drink water in support of rabies.

Finally, Jim and Pam are dating, it took a long time for it to actually happen, but now its true and everyone knows about it. Karen quit after Jim dumped her and she did not even appear in the episode. Also, during the episode Pam enters Michael's office and sees his penis when he is changing for the race.

The Office has started out with a hilarious premiere and if it is a sign of what's to come, the show will be better this season than ever before. As the show continues it just gets funnier, hopefully the trend will continue and the show will be on for a long time into the future, being more and more hilarious with each episode.
