The Office: A Show Filled with Instant Classic Quotes

Mottor
One word to describe The Office would be ridiculous. What we have here is a show that combines the most realistic element of our lives, the office, and allows us to view how these individuals act on a weekly basis. The unique group of characters that work in this office end up wasting more time than doing work and that is what makes it so perfect to watch. Ridiculousness is abundant in each episode and results in numerous classic quotes an episode. The following is a short list of some of the funniest quotes that I have heard on The Office and hopefully encourages you to submit some of your favorite quotes in the comment section.

Michael Scott:

"Guess what? I have flaws. What are they? Oh I donno, I sing in the shower? Sometimes I spend too much time volunteering. Occasionally I'll hit somebody with my car. So sue me-- no, don't sue me. That is opposite the point I'm trying to make."

Note: This quote came from the episode "Fun Run". Michael accidentally hit Meredith, one of his employees, with his car. He was trying to rationalize what he did but soon realized what he had mistakenly stated.

Dwight Schrute:

"Normally I don't condone leaving early but I have an appointment with a horse doctor. How that horse became a doctor I donno. [short pause because Dwight breaks out laughing] Nah I'm kidding. He's just a regular doctor who shoots your horse in the head when its leg is broken."

Note: The above quote came from the episode "Company Picnic". This is the perfect example of Dwight's crazy sense of humor that makes you think twice about what he just said. He is in his own little world and this is what makes his quote even funnier. It is obvious he does not understand how inappropriate his statement was towards the end.

Ryan:

"Last year Creed asked me how to set up a blog. Wanting to protect the world from being exposed to Creed's brain, I opened up a Word document on his computer and put an address at the top. I've read some of it. Even for the intranet, it's... pretty shocking."

Note: Creed is an absolute creeper. This quote comes from episode "The Job". Creed is the office "weirdo" that seems like he is always trying to hide something that it is probably best that he keeps hidden. When Ryan stated this quote I laughed so hard because he fooled him to thinking he was writing and actual blog while reading it for himself.

Dwight Schrute:

"I just want to say for the record I did not kill anyone. Stanley was attacked by his own heart. And he should be released from the hospital and back to the office in a couple of days!"

Note: This is from the episode titled "Stress Relief". The ever so grumpy and stressed out Stanley has a heart attack at work. Dwight randomly made this statement even though everyone knew why Stanley had the heart attack.

Michael Scott:

"Hey, what's going on here? Post-show blues?"

Andy:

"Yeah, I guess you could say that."

Michael Scott:

"Yeah, I get those every day after work."

Note: The above quote is hilarious for so many reasons. This is from one of the more recent episodes "Andy's Play". Michael Scott makes everyone's work day a long and stressful one but he goes home feel as if he did not perform enough every day after work. He treats work as his own stage and some days he has himself some of those post-show blues.

These are just a few of my favorite quotes from the show. I would love to hear some of your favorite quotes as well. Feel free to leave them in the comment section of this article.
