Entertainment abounds at this year's fair and four premiere attractions ensure that there is something that everyone will enjoy. "Bulls and Brawn" is taking over the State Fair Arena on September 21st. Watch the pulse pounding excitement of bull riding featuring the Xtreme bulls of the PRCA. Once the bulls are put to bed the arena will be filled with the music of singer Craig Morgan, best known for his songs "Redneck Yacht Club", and "Little Bit of Life."
On Saturday, September 22, and Sunday, September 23, break out your boots and scoot over to the PRCA rodeo. The excitement of the roping and riding will have you on the edge of your seat. On Saturday evening Gary Allan will take the stage at 7:30 pm to perform some of his greatest hits, including "Best I Ever Had", and "Life Ain't Always Beautiful." Sunday afternoon's entertainers are the world famous Oak Ridge Boys, who will be performing crowd pleasing favorites like "Bobbie Sue" and "Elvira." Box seats for both "Bulls and Brawn", and the PRCA rodeo are $22 each. Reserved seats are $18, and children's tickets are $16. Group rates are also available.
The Extreme Monster Truck National will also be held at the fairgrounds on September 21st and 22nd in the Grandstand. VIP tickets are $27. Other tickets are $18 for adults and $12 for children.
Other attractions that are being held this year include Oklahoma's Strongest Man Competition and the Centennial Expo Motocross Pro-Am Championships.
In the 14 Flags Plaza there is entertainment all day long. The plaza features such shows as "The Wild West Show", "Shenaniguns", "Trick Ropin' Extraordinaire", "The Wild West Stunt Riders", and "Plains Indian Dancers."
Opening on September 13 is a show that has become a state fair tradition. This year's Disney on Ice presentation is "Princess Wishes" and it will feature seven Disney princesses: Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, who will be guided by Tinkerbell to the fulfillment of their wishes. It promises to be an artful and graceful presentation on ice. Rinkside tickets for the ice show are $28, box seats are $22, reserved tickets are $18, and general admission is $14.
Tickets for all events go on sale July 7, and can be purchased at the State Fair Arena Box Office, Tickets.com, and Oklahoma City and Tulsa area Homeland stores, or by calling 1.800.511.1552. For more information visit the state fair website.
