The Old Cayucos Bakery & Deli in Cayucos, California: A Gem in This Seaside Town

Gourmet Food at Reasonable Prices Can't Be Beat

The Old Cayucos Bakery & Deli in Cayucos, California is a gem in this small seaside town. They are located at 84 North Ocean Avenue, next to Hoppe's Garden Bistro and Wine Shop. The Old Cayucos Bakery & Deli serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as bakery and deli goods!

While visiting Cayucos recently, a friend and I stopped in to the bakery to enjoy breakfast before heading out of town. I was impressed by the cute outdoor walkway that instructed us to "follow the yellow brick road" back to The Old Cayucos Bakery & Deli. We followed the yellow bricks inside and placed our breakfast order to the nice young woman behind the counter.

Prices for The Old Cayucos Bakery & Deli

The full breakfast foods cost between $7-12. They also have delicious baked goods and gourmet coffees. I ordered café mocha and a chocolate éclair to eat in the back outside covered patio. My friend chose "The Surfer Mama", which is made up of fettuccini, garlic, parsley, and egg and cheese all sautéed together. We both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast in the quiet fountain garden patio.

I would love to go back and try The Old Cayucos Bakery & Deli's "build your own pizza" for dinner. Dinner prices range from $11-15. They offer pastas, burgers, salads and breads all made from scratch. The Old Cayucos Bakery & Deli also offers catering and local delivery in the Cayucos area. They really do provide gourmet foods at reasonable prices.

A "Green" Business

The Old Cayucos Bakery & Deli in Cayucos is a "Green" business, and proud of it! According to the owner's, "95% of the products we use are completely biodegradable and the other 5% are recyclable." They also make all of their food fresh every day, so you won't be eating yesterday's salads or sandwiches!

Dog Friendly Restaurant

If you have a doggy with you on your trip, feel free to bring your 4-legged friend with you on the outside patio. The Old Cayucos Bakery & Deli is dog friendly and family friendly. In fact, if you are looking for a new treat or toy for your dog or cat, you should check out Dogmania at 123 N. Ocean Ave. in Cayucos. I stopped in there as well and made a purchase for my spoiled cat.
