The Olive Garden Restaurant and Their "Unlimited" Soup and Salad Deals

The Olive Garden is a popular place to eat, especially those who enjoy Italian food. On one of our recent visits to one of their chain establishments, we discovered that if you ordered one of their soups or salads you had "unlimited" refills. Since we had already order other items we decided to give the offer a try the next time we came to visit.

On our next visit, we each ordered a bowl of soup and sure enough after our first round, the waitress came up to us and asked us if we would like another bowl of soup. Even on to our third round (and our last bowl), the waitress still asked if we would like some more. The great thing about this is that they have five varieties of soup and their portions are decent. Their soup varieties include Minestrone (a classic soup filled with vegetables, beans and pasta in tomato broth), Chicken and Gnocchi (a creamy soup blend of chicken, Italian dumplings, and spinach), Pasta e Fagoli (a savory soup made up of red and white beans, ground beef, tomatoes, and pasta), and Zuppa Toscana (a specialty soup consisting of spicy sausage, creamy russet potatoes, and cavolo greens). All of these soups are quite delectable, but my all time favorites are the "Chicken and Gnocchi" and the "Minestrone" soups. Each of these soups only cost $5.50 per bowl and come with a side of bread like all meals do at The Olive Garden.

Their salads are a little more on the higher price end. I prefer the soups selection because they have more substance and of course cost less! My friend and I have tried this deal a few times already and have never been turned down. If you are looking a light meal or a casual sit down with a friend, this is a great deal to try out at your local Olive Garden restaurant. It's always nice to round out the "unlimited" soups meals with a tasty dessert like the restaurant's Tiramisu cake, but really, even three bowls of soups will be sure to fill you up quite nicely!
