The Olive Garden's New Lasagna Rollatini with Sausage: A Review

Donna Davis
I visited the Olive Garden Restaurant adjacent to the Mall at Robinson in Robinson Township, near the Pittsburgh Airport.

This is a place of culinary delights. I have visited many Olive Garden Restaurants in the Northeast United States. Only two are excellent: this one and the one in Canfield, Ohio, just south of Youngstown.

Let me explain the Lasagna Rollatini Dish.

4 Lasagna Roll-Ups filled with cheese

2 Mild Sausages cut into slices

Marinara/Cheese Sauce

The soft rippled pasta was filled with ricotta cheese and fresh basil. Mild but full-flavored.

The sausage was grilled perfectly with a strong flavor of freshly ground anise.

The sauce was a blend of marinara and cheeses. I could taste fontinella and romano, and maybe asiago.

The marriage was perfect. I can usually determine the ingredients after tasting much of a meal, but I was so taken by the flavors, I was overcome.

The portion was gigantic. I split the meal with another guest. Along with the fresh salad, I was completely full. I had hoped to order desert, but could not. Very satisfying.

Price $9.95 with sausage

$13.95 with chicken
